BRILLIANT
An amazing story of a young lady that gets pregnant at 17, then gets disowned, kicked out of the house, and denied by the father. The story starts with her struggles to raise her child on her own and expands into a hard fought successful future through hard work and assistance with kindred spirits- 3 other woman in her same position. The book is nearly impossible to put down- with the constant rollercoaster the author puts the readers through. there are highs, lows, sadness, joy and throughout it all- humor & laughter. Amazing work and highly recommended

Good story
The book was good. Good story line. I always love a happy ending, or at least a hopeful ending. I liked how the author incorporated current social issues, such as gender discrimination, the disparity of wealth and class, and the inequality of community resources. The book could use some additional proof reading,as I noticed some spelling issues, a few missing words or mixed up wording. There were also a few times when the wrong name or spelling of names was incorrect and where "he "was used instead of "she". Also a few grammatical errors.

Fun and easy to read with a lot of things to appeal to different readers.
A fun rejected mates book with a strong female lead. One of the things really I liked about this book is how many tropes it incorporates. including: secret baby, second chance romance, fated mates, rejected mates, enemies to lovers, and found family. The creation of the shifter-verse and world-building were fantastic and author incorporated many modern social issues within the storyline that are relevant and relatable for readers, such as misogyny, classism, inequality, and a disparity in wealth distribution. The plot is well thought out and clear, with hints of a very different potential subplot for the second book.

great read
Plot with a few drops of smut. Classic not overly cheesy. Not over powered. This is actually the third time I’ve read it.

Strong kick butt, take charge female lead
I love this book(s) so much I had to buy and read again here on Kindle.Everly is one kick butt wolf. While she may seem like a damsel in distress in the very beginning, she is anything but. A bit headstrong to a fault, and sometimes stubborn due to past circumstances out of her control. You will watch her grow not only her tribe, but an empire for herself, her son and those who have been wronged. While reading this I laughed, I cried and a couple times I nearly wet myself. Jessica Hall creates characters that you feel are alive and creates them to where you feel an attachment to them.Add in some steamy bits that are so well written, it leaves you longing for more and also a little hot and bothered.I totally recommend this book! This book is the calm before the storm, which is in book 2, both so worth the money and the read. Both will be hard to put down.

So good!!!!
Even as someone who doesn’t usually read werewolf books, this was such a great story!!! I felt for Everly so much and really cheered for her throughout the book, building a life and family while being a mom is so hard! I also could not wait to see how everything would play out with her Valen!Such a fun and entertaining read, I didn't want to put it down

Captivating, emotional driven, page-turning
This story draws you in from the very beginning, captivating you with well-developed, rich characters and a roller-coaster of emotions. The author skillfully evokes both sympathy and excitement, making you laugh one moment and tear up the next. You'll find yourself rooting fervently for Everly and her son while feeling deep anger towards those who wrong them and cast them away.I wholeheartedly give this novel 5 out of 5 stars. The author masterfully keeps you hooked from start to finish with near-flawless writing. The characters are well written making it easy to follow longer sections of dialogue. Due to adult themes and explicit language this book is better suited for mature audiences.

Page turner set in the Shifter-verse
Alpha's Regret is set in the Shifter-verse in a land divided between frequently hostile packs. At 17, Everly becomes pregnant following a drunken one night stand at an Alpha's convention. Even though she is the designated heir to her father's pack, she is disowned by her family, shunned by pack society, and disbelieved and rejected by the father of her child. Alone and without resources, she is forced to become a Rogue. While the book's title references the father, Valen, Everly is the focal point of the story. She creates a found family with a loving and supportive older woman and two other single mothers. She builds a successful business that's staffed by Rogue women, contributes to her community, and becomes an advocate for the rights of the Rogues. She is a strong, determined, and loving woman. The hero, Valen, is extremely unlikable for the first half of the book. Before he realizes that Everly is his mate, he is frequently in a drunken fog, dismissive and disrespectful of women, and lacking in self-awareness.Hall has created a misogynistic pack society in which women are blamed and punished for having a child outside of marriage, and men are absolved. The Rogue women are excluded from good schools for their children, forced to work for less than the minimum wage, labeled with slurs, and unprotected by law enforcement. Everly becomes a heroine and leader by fighting for this dispossessed community. The book ends with a cliffhanger and a number of open questions. You will have to read the follow-up to find out what happens. As this was a very engaging page- turner, I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.
