So I added this 2 TB SSD to my iMac 27" 2017 which was having very slow boot-up times. After a clean install of the operating system my iMac boots up almost instantly! Like a new machine! Make sure you see if you need an adapter which I did and also ordered that from Amazon. It takes some time to install as you pretty much have to take apart the entire machine to get to the mother board. But well worth the effort! A great value as well as for about $140 my old iMac has a new lease on life! Couldn't be more pleased!!

I bought this specifically for an external SSD enclosure to use with my smartphone.- 1TB which I formatted using exFAT, resulting in 931.5 GB free space.- NAND require less power draw- Fast enough for short bursts of storage to/fromYou get the SSD. That's it. It does not come with screws or any other hardware. It works right out of the box. For my needs it still gets the job done even though it pulls about 6W, and my USB can only send about 5W. In my case, in order to be reliable I need to use the 60W PD port on the side of the enclosure as well. I can live with that, since I often carry power banks with me.Would buy again. Great value for 1TB at only 50 bucks!

Using this as a secondary SSD for backup & storage. My Gaming PC has a 4TB SSD and a 10TB HDD. I got tired of hearing the HDD spool up every so often so this is the solution. Take out the 10TB HDD to make it an external drive then add in this 4TB SSD for the onboard secondary SSD backup & storage solution. I did a lot of reading before making this decision. If you are a gamer with a high end video card be sure you motherboard supports this. Some boards the GPU & secondary SSD share the same Bus so it could cut your performance in half. Luckily my MSI Gaming motherboard does not have that issue so the Western Digital SN5000 WD Blue 4TB SSD will work perfectly for my use case. Good luck.

Some folks are pretty ugly about Western Digital, but I have always found them reliable, durable and quite good for what I need.This NvME drive is no exception, it has extended my storage, added to my Dell Laptop.I am quit comfortable using this as a daily driver, and it is quite fast, fit perfectly, wide range of compatability, and every easy to use.WD is still one of my favorite brands for storage solutions.

This SSD fits well into my B550M motherboard. Downloaded Windows 10 just fine and downloads my files and games very quickly. Dosen't bottleneck my high end DDR4 ram.

Maybe not the fastest M.2 drive, but still very good. I used this to replace a failed 2.5 SSD and the difference is incredible.

I recently purchased the Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN5000 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive SSD (WDS100T4B0E) and overall, I'm quite satisfied with its performance. The SSD delivers impressive read and write speeds, and it has significantly improved the performance of my laptop.That being said, the product didn't come as pictured. It is supposed to have a blue sleeve on it. I researched this and learned that it just depends on the batch the product comes out of. It isn't a common issue. The missing sleeve isn't necessarily a defect in the product. The sleeve has two purposes, one is for aesthetics (looks) and one is for heat dissipation. The reduction of heat dissipation due to the missing sleeve isn't very noticeable as my left palm rests on top of where the SSD is installed. I sometimes notice a little warmth, but the system fan kicks on and takes care of that immediately.The purpose of this review is to inform both Amazon and the consumer. I'm trying to help both entities in trying to mitigate returns due to the product not being shipped as pictured. I hope to reduce or eliminate unnecessary returns on the product to save both Amazon and the consumer the headache of returning it.That being said, I detracted the one star because the product not coming as pictured and not due to a defect or the product not working.

Works perfectly in my HP PC, no trouble. You must have an M2 connector on your PC's system board, or use a USB adapter.
