Arena Men's Square Cut Drag Suit Waist

These shorts work brilliant for what they do. They don’t do too much dragging for normal stroke swimming, but provide a decent pull when turning. They’re not as aggressive as the Finis version with the cups, but are much more comfortable to wear for longer distances etc. The sizing is a real issue though. I’m 190cm and weigh around 86kg. Relatively skinny guy altogether. I ordered the M and L sizes to try(and return the other one). The M is quite tight and the L is pretty much just right. If you didn’t tell me the sizing, I would have assumed that the L was a S if not a M - definitely not a large. For reference the M is a size 34 and L is 36. I wear a 32 in jeans and a 32 Speedo jammer - the S/32 would be way too small for me. I’d definitely recommend going bigger rather than smaller, but also if possible to buy both and return the unsuitable one. They have a drawstring on the inside that can be used if they’re slightly too big. Mine are quite well fitting, but if not tied the water can get in when flip turning and it falls like it pulls them down a bit - just tie them up either way. I’m a little bit confused as to how Arena have gotten this one so wrong though. I know swimmers are generally quite lean, but even the XL is quite small and tight - surely you’d want a drag suit to fit large if anything(more material = more drag).

Overall, very happy with these, and they do the job of increasing the drag. But size comes up small for me.

It's great, but its quite small, i usually wear Arena 32 for training so I order the M drag suit, but it was way too short, i had to return it and get the L.

It is incredibly small and a bit heavy. It will not fit and therefore not recommended at all.

I bought XL and couldn't vent get them on. I am somewhere between a L and XL for pretty much any clothes so surprised these were so small. Perhaps they should re-think the sizing on these - I can imagine they get a lot of returns.

These are great, but sizing is very small around the legs!! 13 year old swimmer is in a size large! Baggy round the waist but not much room on the legs.

I couldn't even get the large on (size 12)

I bought these for my 16year old son who has the typical competitive swimmers waist. We started with medium man and had to send them back for large. Probably could have also got away with XL. Good product a survives 9hrs of training every week.

I have muscular thighs. These shorts are not made for them. There is no stretch either so I don’t see them working. If you are of normal build these would fit I think.

Pedí este bañador de carga para mi hijo de casi 13 años que nada en un equipo de natación. Mide más o menos 1'62 y el bañador le queda bien. Tal y como ponen los comentarios el tallaje no es muy grande. No sabía si le valdría la talla S, afortunadamente le ha valido. Edito: como el peque ha crecido y los otros dos que tiene empiezan a deteriorarse por el uso, los usa turnándolos cinco días a la semana, he pedido una talla M en negro para probar. No le queda mucho más holgado que la talla S, le va perfecto. Edito 2: Ya llevo comprados seis de estos bañadores. Dos retirados debido al uso diario que les da al entrenar, dos en activo y dos de reserva. Los veo de buena calidad y cumplen su cometido.
