Man, this thing is really, really nice. I bought it for a friend's kid who specifically asked for a switchblade comb for his birthday. When I went looking, I was expecting that I would only find the same carnival prize plastic crap I had in the 80s. I came across this one and it looked to be decent, and the price was good. I didn't really expect it to be as nice as it is. It's solid, heavy, and feels well constructed. The spring feels strong, and it opens with a confident snap. The safety works to keep it shut in your pocket. I can't comment on how long it will last, but it seems like it's very well made. I've seen some complaints about the metal tines on the comb being sharp or grabby. I have no hair on my head, but I ran it through my longish beard a couple of times and it felt fine. The kid I gave it to and his dad both ran it through their (fairly well pomaded) hair and seemed adequately pleased with it. I'm sure it's not the greatest comb available, but that's not really the point, is it? Anyway, the look on the face of the 11 year old who got this was sufficient to justify the $10 it cost. Recommended, if you're in the market for such silliness.

Size is a little bigger than I was expecting but thats fine. It's truly better than one of the cheap plastics ones you'll find in a gag shop being ACTUALLY almost completely made of metal. The design is good too meeting expectations of that classic switchblade look. The mechanism is also very well made so far and I hope it holds up over prolonged use (but honestly for ~$15 the quality you get is well worth it so buying another would be fine).

Honestly it’s a great product. Very sturdy and easy to use. My only issue is that the teeth on the comb could be smoothed or rounded a bit. I have thick hair and it likes to tug and pull. Other than that it’s great.

It is a cool and well made metal product, but the comb pulls hairs painfully and frays my hair with every use. So, now it is just a funny show piece.

It's an all metal piece, with a blue pearl handle. The hook/clip is good and tight. The spring (flick) action is NICE. Real heavy and powerful flick. Not flimsy in the least. It already feels like it'll last a long time. The tines on the comb are a little shallow and are really only good for surface level combing, and finishing touches, not deep detangling, I feel I should mention. But it's all strong, and well worth the money. This is how you want one of these combs to look, feel, and function.

I got this for my boyfriend who has quite the beard and it quickly became his favorite thing. He says it's the best gift he has ever gotten. He spent the first few days just popping the comb out and putting it back in fascination. He finds it functional for his day to day and always clips it onto his pants and brings it with him when we go anywhere. He freaked out one time when he thought he lost it in a store, but we were able to find it. The relief was palpable. He still praises it to this day. I'm happy this gift could make him that happy. If it ever breaks, I'll get him another.

Had it for a few months now. Spring loaded part is broken. Doesn't flick out anymore. The comb was ok. I have longer hair, it's ok if your hair is already combed but it really hurts when you don't comb with another brush of something first. It wasn't really worth the money since it broke and I can't return it. The lock is also broken on it. Thought this was a good one bc of the reviews I saw at the time.

It is a beautiful design, but I personally find it impractical. It is quite heavy on the hand and you push a button to release the comb which can be quite abrupt. I bought as a styling tool in my handbag to substitute a black plastic foldable comb that I already have. The teeth of this comb are metal and quite sharp. They can be quite abrasive if used directly on the hair scalp and it is best suited for long hair/ beards.

Was surprised by the solid feel and weight of this "flick comb "the action is strong and deliberate.
