Great watch, I love it. It needs a different band.
Everything on the watch works great, It is one thing Samsung has done well. The original band was very wide and stiff and caused some pain, but I found a great elastic one that fits well and is very comfortable. The watch is rather heavy, but I wanted it because the advertisements said it had a good and loud sound / speakers. They were right! I can use it to make and receive phone calls with ease. I have a very thin wrist but it does not feel awkward . I did get a case for it because I found I was bumping it rather often due to its large size. The battery lasts long and charges up in about 30 min or less.

Best Samsung Watch Yet – Stylish, Durable, and Perfect for Everyday Use
As a loyal Samsung phone and watch user, I can confidently say this is the best Samsung watch I’ve owned so far. The upgrade from my previous model was seamless, and I immediately noticed the improved build quality and generously sized screen. The buttons are sturdy and well-placed—responsive without being prone to accidental presses, which I really appreciate. While I’m still exploring the heart monitoring feature—my main reason for upgrading—the watch has already exceeded expectations in other areas. It strikes the perfect balance for my lifestyle: durable enough for working outdoors in the evenings and on Saturdays, yet sleek and professional enough to wear to the office. A truly versatile and worthwhile purchase.

Convenient and helpful to have
Update: I've edited my review from 4 to 5 stars because Samsung's updates have improved the watch's functionality considerably.I've had the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for about a few months now. I have never worn any other smart watches before this one, so I only know about this watch in particular and cannot really compare to any other watch.I originally got a smartwatch so I can start keeping track of my steps, heart rate, and sleep. The steps it tracks are not perfectly accurate because it counts some when I'm sitting down and handling things on the coffee table in front of me, but I don't think it's too much of a problem. I somewhat count it like my arm movements converted into steps, which probably sounds dumb, but lets me know how active I actually was in total that day, arms or legs.Sometimes I activate the watch screen accidentally with my leg when I'm sitting down cross legged on the couch playing PS5, holding a controller in my hand and having my wrists turned to hold it. I have felt my watch vibrate and I check it, and it's one tap away from dialing 911 by accident from my stupid leg touching the screen while I'm gaming. It might be one tap away but I've never attempted to use the emergency feature on my smartwatch before, so I'm not sure how true my statement is, but I'm being cautious about it just in case it IS one tap away from dialing 911. Luckily I've never accidentally activated the emergency call, because I kept it in power save mode or I turned off Always-On-Display after that happened a few times. The only downside to having it in power save mode all the time is you have to press one of the watch buttons to light the screen and see what time it is or to use it. Now, I just leave it in the normal power mode while keeping Always-On-Display turned off. You can still turn your wrist to see the time and it'll light up. No need to waste battery life keeping the screen lit if I'm not looking at it.One thing I really like about having the Samsung Smart Watch with a Samsung Phone is being able to check phone notifications from your watch. I can also turn off my phone alarms from a single button press on the watch when I'm in bed. No need to scramble for the phone and struggle to handle and swipe it. It's a major convenience upgrade that I'm actually glad to have. I like being able to see my text messages on my wrist without having to pull out my phone and check each time. I can also start timers and a stopwatch without having to pull out the phone. I'm also getting more used to wearing a watch all over again like I used to as a kid. I am adjusting to checking the time with my watch rather than pulling my phone out to see what time it is.You can customize the faces of the watch too. You can pick a ton of different watch faces to display the time, date and day, and other information if you want, like your heart rate, steps, and UV light exposure. There are custom made watch faces you can download and buy on the Google Play store. I settled for a simple one that just shows a digital time, the day, and what date it is.I ended up buying a different band for the watch because I don't really care for the white silicone look. I bought a 3rd party leather band to go with the watch and it looks great. It matches with my belt. The battery life is better than I expected according to what I heard from some people. My watch will last at least 3 to 4 days on the normal mode while having Always-On-Display turned off. It'll last about 3 days tops if I have the Always-On-Display turned on. It takes a while to charge the watch, even with an Anker 100w charger. It takes about an hour to charge from 40% to 100%. This is fine for me because I'm not heavily reliant on having the watch on 24/7, however I have forgotten to put the watch back on before I left the house before because I left it on the charger and forgot about it.Recently, the new update made it to where the watch is better at recognizing when you're exercising. I stopped using the exercise tracking feature because I kept forgetting to turn it off after exercising. Recently after a new update, I started exercising on the treadmill and it recognized I had been walking for 10 minutes, and it was then displaying a time count for how long I had been exercising along with some other information. After I was done exercising, I didn't even mess with my watch and it had recognized that I stopped walking about 30 seconds later. Now I can count on my watch to actually keep track of my treadmill workouts without having to manually start and stop it! I really like this. My exercise will automatically be recorded in Samsung Health.Recently in the last month, I passed out and had a hard fall. I hit my head on the ground and broke my nose, and it even bled a bit. My forehead was slightly bruised. I was unconscius for a moment and woke up sitting up on the ground in the bathroom in the dark. I passed out because I was dehydrated and backed up from a recent use of some opioid medicine, and it likely overstimulated my vagus nerve. Unfortunately, the watch didn't detect my hard fall at all. I still wonder if I had a concussion from that fall, but I never wanted to go to the ER because I don't have insurance. Maybe it's a good thing the watch didn't detect the fall because I don't have health insurance and I doubt the hospital would have done anything worthwhile anyways. However, if you have faith in your healthcare system and you want the fall detect feature to work, I would not recommend the Samsung watch, simply because it failed to recognize my hard fall for me. I'm a 34 year old so I'm not too worried about this happening again, especially since I am not doing any more opioids, so I'm okay with keeping this watch despite that flaw. I think Apple Watch may perform better in the hard fall detection area.Despite the small problems, I am glad I bought the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra while it was on sale. I will continue to wear it and use it for the rest of its life until it stops working. So far, my first smart watch experience is a good one, although I've learned where it succeeds and falls short. Recent updates have made it go from good to better.

Little bulky but durable
Very functional watch. Battery life is more real life use is 2 days. Maybe 3 if on battery saver. But charging speed from 20% is about 3 hrs. It's a little bulky but a ease to use. It does take a few extra seconds when getting a call to link to phone. And when calling just from it or answering. It takes a few seconds to first connect. Over all still a good value

Versatile, health monitoring watch
Works well for fitness tracking. Also a great extension phone you don't have to run to find when it rings. Comfortable to wear. Had many face styles to choose from with flexible app access. Also, keeps good time!
