Took me a minute
So when I first tried to explore with these, it was a failure. I was thinking, "these don't bond together very good." I couldn't mange to make anything. The blocks kept separating from each other. I asked my 20 year old son to test them because I told him I didn't think they worked very well. He was able to show me that I needed a different brain approach. They are built by creating structure and foundation; not by sticking tightly together. When I gave them to my five year old, he initially had the same trouble I did. I explained to him what my 20 year old explained to me. Once he had some time to figure it out, he was able to make good buildings and structures. Because the blocks don't bind together tightly, I don't think children under 5 would do very well with these. You do have to use more of your brain power to understand how to make structure with these blocks. You need some brain skill; a little bit of an engineering mind. I'm glad I bought these. They are different.

functional building toy
I use these blocks for therapy sessions. The blocks are good, I like the variety of colors and shapes. My little ones can create different designs and patterns. Plastic quality is good, they are not too bendable and not too heavy. The only issue I see – they do not always stay together. I mean they are loose sometimes and come apart unless you really complete the design. It is ok for older guys but might be frustrating for smaller explorers. Other than that, it’s a good set to take with you on the go, it’s not super large but still has a good variety to complete many projects.

Lightweight and fun
The grandkids love these little puzzle blocks. They like to build garages and tunnels for their cars. Though the box is sturdy, it’s too much trouble to get them back in the box, so we’ve been keeping them in a drawstring bag and that is simpler. At $17 (at time of review), these feel a little expensive for what they are, but there are a bunch of them and they have held up well to standard toddler abuse. Giftable, in my opinion.

It's simple to build interesting structures
I ordered the MICHLEY 100 PCS Interlocking Building Blocks to have on hand when my young grandson visits us, since he likes to build things. I decided to try out the blocks myself, so I built the colorful tower seen in the attached photo. The tower required using 70 of the blocks included in the set. The set I received consists of 94 square blocks and 7 triangle blocks in various colors for a total of 101 blocks. I would have liked a few more of the triangle blocks which are used as gables for buildings. While most of the blocks fit together well, some of them were too loose, resulting in a structure that was not quite as sturdy as it should be. I did like that a single page guide was included that showed sample structures. The colorful box certainly makes this a giftable toy, but the box is small and not practical for storage once playtime is over. The only way to fit all the pieces back in the box is to connect the squares in a 3 by 4 pattern, one layer at a time. Using a bag or a bigger box would be a better storage option.

Special Needs Son Loves These
My son is older, but is special needs. While he likes to build, he has trouble with a lot of other building toys, but with these he took right to them. The pieces connect easily and he likes the different colors and different window types to make all sorts of patterns. I'm sure kids without special needs would find these just as fun. Especially if they like to build.

Fun colorful
Sturdy colorful blocks that help with motor skills. Easy to interlock and create. Can be used in small amounts for skill assessment, or left in centers for group play.

A delightful toy
Works exactly how you'd think it'd work. My only complaint is that you can't make a floor, and then build up a wall from it, the pieces just don't align. It doesn't come with many roof pieces, but aside from that it's very fun and would be great for kids.
