However as I say in te title this is not a daily wear kind of pendant or cross, because it is large heavy and plain uncomfortable. The chain is a box chain style and it is about 22 inches or so, it could be a little longer , especially if you are a big man. The chain is smooth and the lobster clasp appear solid. The cross is a two layer design, with wood on the back and the front wrapped with metal. While much care was takes to have everything smooth, the backing of the cross is still scratchy (irritating) against my skin(I am a woman) Wearing the cross over a blouse is the only solution that I can think about. Wearing the cross over clothing one must be careful what they choose to wear, I had worn the cross over a blouse with lace and unfortunately I got a pulled string. So yes, this cross is really beautiful and quite spectacular when worn. It’s not an every day kind of pendant, but when worn it looks beautiful and it conveys both faith and style. Thank you
