Great mailbox!!
Update: 3/13/21 I had to reorder this mailbox and the second one that got sent to me was dented on the top and a piece (a clip that held the mailbox flag in place) was broken. I took the piece out from the old mailbox flag and inserted it into the new one. I couldn’t do much about the dent. Original review: I’m really glad that I bought this mail box. It’s really sturdy and it’s big. The lid closes tightly and it’s secure. It does come with a spare key but you’ll probably have to make extras as a just in case. On another note, I did not have to install since where I live, the county has to install it for you.

Larger than I imagined. But perfect shape!
This is a huge mailbox. Definitely bigger than I imagined. The shape is just perfect, like a traditional mailbox. The hard part is getting the screws Into the post inside of the mailbox. I managed to get 6 of 8. So it’s sturdy and not going anywhere. They did not come with screws, FYI.

Well made, good finish
Three purchased for single post with crossbar mount. Installed with some effort and look good! Large opening that small hands can probably reach into, but secure enough for the application. Locking mechanism and drop down doors are firm. Very good quality.

The size is huge
It is a little bit too big but the value is good for the price. I wish they could have delivered it without damaging it. The door was broken off one side and dented. I can fix it but come on Amazon!.

Not more secure, certainly less convenient.
I didn't expect to be able to reach my entire arm inside this mailbox and pull out any mail inside without unlocking it, but that is absolutely what I can do. As a 190lb 39 year old 5'11" male, I don't really qualify as "slender" either. Construction is fairly OK, though the plastic outgoing mail flag and attachment point are unimpressive. Securing the mailbox to a post was easy enough, even though I didn't have the recommended Type C mailbox pole. After installing the mailbox and realizing that I did not actually secure my mail any better than a fully open mailbox (though it did make it slightly less convenient to retrieve my mail, either via reaching my arm in or unlocking the device), I reached out to the manufacturer to ask about returning the item. Below is their response, typos and all: "Thank you for purchasing our product. I apologize you are not satisfied with it. You are concerned with the slot being to wide. The United States Postal Service (USPS) determines and issues standards that must be adhered to by the manufacturers for all rural mailboxes. One requirement of the USPS is all locked designs must have a minimum opening of 1 -3/4 inches by 10 inches. You want to know how secure is your mailbox is from theft? Our mailboxes do not go through rating tests like safes, so we do not have a rating system that identifies how secure the mailbox is. The mailboxes provide adequate protection from theft in most case but are not intended to be impenetrable. I hope this answers your questions. Have a great day." So... according to the manufacturer, this mailbox is "adequate." I don't do "adequate" for security. Neither should you.

Feels rather cheap, but does the trick
First of all, to address everybody's concern, yes, it does have an opening that you can technically put your hands through and grab mail. And yes, it's a requirement of USPS, so any lockable mailboxes will be like that. Other than that, it does the trick - locking, enough space for few envelopes if you want to send something out, very spacious inside and was easy to install. Keep in mind that it doesn't come with any sort of installation kits - you're on your own. It is also fairly large on the outside - feels it's at least 50% bigger than my old mailbox. It also feels rather cheaply made, so I'm not sure about durability for the hinges. I guess time will tell

Mail box is well made and secure.
Opening drop a little too large, kid could realistically pull out mail...slot needs to smaller. I know it was meant to be that size for larger mail, however it's the envelope mail I'm concerned about most, the delivery Man/Woman could drop large items at door.

Good for Price
This item is good for the price but the security isn't all that great. Yes, it does lock but I am a female with a medium build and I can fit my hand down to my wrist inside the slit. Which means, I can with patience, remove all the mail without the key. If you are looking for super security, I would not recommend this mailbox.

Well made, quick 1 day delivery.

El diseño y materiales son de buena calidad, pero la caja está muy grande y el orificio para las cartas también es muy grande esto hace prácticamente inútil el hecho que tenga llave.
