Wowzers! I bought this as it has dual voltage for a European trip. This iron comes with multiple heat settings. The hottest is HOT! Its a longer wand. Sets a great curl and worked amazingly. A great purchase I’d highly recommend.

First off, I would like to mention that I've only used this curling iron once and so I cannot speak for the longevity of the product itself. I was debating buying another curling iron (almost double the price) but I'm really glad I went with this one for many reasons. Throughout my review, i compare it to my hot tools curling iron.Pros-Price is cheaper than higher-end brands and this curling iron really delivers! My hair curled so well AND held up.- The length of the barrel is so helpful. I have longer hair and I liked that I could wrap my hair around without doubling up in certain sections, this in turn made the curling process much quicker- heats up very quickly. I brought it up to the second highest setting and it was ready within minutes (light stops blinking when ready to use)-the weight of this curling iron is lighter than my hot tools, but doesn't feel too cheap. Even though I do appreciate the weight of my hot tools curler (gives a sturdy security to the product), it seems that after a while, it is heavy on the wrist especially after 20-30 min of curling-the clasp is great. I read some of the other reviews saying that it was looser and it was recommended to take bigger sections of hair, but that was not the case with me at all. I even took very thin sections like my bangs and none of the hair fell out or snagged. Really impressed with the clasp on this tool.-long enough power cord. Although this cord is not as long as the Hot Tools, it's definitely enough for me doing my hair on my own. I imagine if you were working at a salon, it might need more distance to travel to a client.-the rubber protective piece at bottom. I love that the protective piece at the bottom is coated in rubber it really helps ensure that when I put the curler down it's not sliding. My Hot Tools is metal and oftentimes when I put it down it slides and could potentially fall.Cons-my hair smell burnt. As I mentioned earlier, I've only used this once and have read from multiple people that this smell does go away. Will update my review in a few weeks if this changes.As of right now, i would highly recommend this!

This is a very sturdy 1.25 inch curling iron that heats well and shuts off if you forget to turn it off. I have white/silver hair and use the lowest setting, 300 degrees at all times and have not had any discoloration or yellowing even though I use the curling iron daily. The iron heats up to 450 degrees with 3 additional lower heat settings, 4 in all. My hair is fine, and thinner, medium length and the iron curls in 5 seconds and the curls stay after combing and teasing.On occasion I get a crimp line where the clamp meets the barrel if there is more hair spray on my hair, but it quickly disappears before I comb out my hair. Most times I have no crimp line.The cord swivels nicely, is ample in length, the tip of the barrel is easy to grasp and stays cool while winding the hair on the barrel. It’s not super light and not super heavy so at my elderly age I find this iron very easy to hold and work with.I had a concern with the iron originally and Lanvier customer service was quite responsive, professional and remedied the concern quickly through their e-mail contact.The item was packaged carefully, securely, and the storage bag, which is a very nice, secure fabric that is plenty long to fit the curling iron, and directions were included.Everything about this purchase has been perfect for me.I did not receive any discount, freebie, or reward for providing this honest review. I just really like this curling item (I’ve had many over the years), and will definitely purchase from Lanvier again in the future.

Wow! Really impressed with the quality of this curling iron for the price! What a steal! It arrived in a nice box and came with a travel bag as well. It’s sleek and lightweight and low key looks good just sitting on my bathroom counter. BUT then I used it and I was even more impressed! It heats up quickly and evenly. It’s very comfortable to hold and maneuver around my head as I work through my hair! It’s longer than my previous iron so I had to get used to that but the extra length has been a game changer! I have fine hair and had to adjust and make sure I put enough hair in each section or it would slip out of the clamp at the ends. Once I added more hair to the section I was curling it was fine though! I also tried it without using the clamp and just wrapping my hair around like a wand and it worked like a dream both ways! Already chunked my old curling iron in the trash. I didn’t realize how bulky and heavy my old iron was until I used this! I’m hooked! I finished my hair in less time than usual mostly due to the ease of use! Highly recommend. It’s a steal for the price!
