Top of the line MLV tape that has many other uses
This is a great tape because it sticks to the back of my garage door insulation better than the tape that I was supposed to use with it. It is a highly versatile tape! This has better stick than duct tape and is more rubbery without the fibers. It seems to stick to anything that is rubber or plastic. This is like a specialty tape that is synthetic material-centric. It really likes to stick to vinyl and all types of plastic but most importantly the tape doesn't fail when temperatures rise and fall rapidly. I applied it to a textured plastic sheet and it adhered so good that it stays even when the garage gets over100 degrees Farenheit. It may withstand hotter but it's not summer yet. I don't use tape for my electrical connections too often but this tape might work better than electrical tape or even Gorilla tape especially in a vehicle. Shrink wrap is better but this might work great in a pinch. It is not intended for that but the tape is highly versatile. It's advertised as being hand rippable and it is. Tears easily laterally kind of like duct tape. A much better adhesion than I expected since it is MLV seem tape that is primarily used to cover the seems of vinyl paneling so air can't just pass throught he seems (along with sound waves) but it outperforms that solitary purpose.(I really got to stop reading the other reviews) But they make me laugh because you can clearly see why this tape is mis-rated at 3.6 stars. It's a 5 star tape but people don't understand how to use it.

Very thin, exceptionally poor adhesion to textured MLV, will not block sound at seams.
Exactly what it says. This would not stick to second skin luxury liner pro. It's thin like scotch tape with a very low tack adhesive and I cannot under any circumstances imagine that this would actually solve the issue of keeping sound from seeping through the seams in MLV in automotive installs where complex shapes and multiple pieces need to be tiled together. Perhaps this was just the wrong product for the application, but I just can't see how this would work even for construction applications. I ended up using 2 part CA and activator and that works PHENOMONALLY well with a strong bond. I tried everything. It's very difficult to get anything to stick to MLV but extremely thick vinyl or foam with very thick, aggressive adhesive. This just won't work in this particular use case. And for what it is? SUPER expensive. Sorry I hate to knock a product like this but I'm sure I'm not the only one here installing MLV in the floor of a car.

As described
No issues. Adhesive seems strong enough. Don't really have a baseline for comparison, but this seems to be doing its job.

Nice Tape
This tape is sticky and tears easily as well as helping to muffle out sound in the studio or on stage. Plus it’s bright yellow so you can use it for caution too

High Quality Seam Tape and extra long rolls
This tape was high quality and exceeded my expectations. As promised, the tape tore easily by hand. Although there was a warning that this would not work on textured MLV, it did work just fine with my finely textured MLV. This tape is also a great value because they give you 180' where the industry standard is 108'.Do not confuse this for installation tape as it is not designed to hold any weight, provide any structural support or hold pieces together. Seam tape is designed to make seams airtight so sound does not leak through.

Flimsy and thin
Not what I expected at all, Very thin flimsy tape with little sound proofing. Instead, we are using black Tyvek Flashing tape which is thick and has incredible adhesion. Waste of $250.

Great for mlv seams
This is great stuff to ensure you're covering all the little gaps and where sound might slip through. Very handy for soundproofing projects.

Good sturdy, sound resistant tape for joining soundproofing materials
This is good sturdy tape for joining together soundproofing materials. It has good adhesion and when used to seal spaces between sound proofing materials, it prevents sound from leaking through. The way it can easily be cut and stretched is nice. Works well.
