Industrial Electricity and Motor Controls, Second Edition

I am a qualified electrical person from my company I am field technician in the water well industry dealing in heavy HP vertical line shaft and submersible motors. 3phase 480 starter panels. I am 3 to 4 colors above what you would say is "green". I cant get educated unless I do it myself. This book is perfect for me! I've put in 10 hrs of reading and thats all it took for me to give it 5 stats. I value this book well above 100.00 dollars

I have never studied electrical nor did I know anything about it, I purchased this book to pass the test to get in the apprenticeship program at U.S. Steel . I have not taken the test yet but the book is very easy to follow and when I spoke with the people in the electrical field and they lookes at the book they said it was on point, I also have three friends that used this book only and passed. I am a women, and machanically inclined but I was not familiar with electrical . This book is great I would recommend it for anyone wanting to begin a career in this filed it starts from A to B. This is one of the best investments your money can buy. I also purchased a used version from Amazon and the book was like new for almost half the cost. ( UPDATE) I passed at a high level and now am an electrician in the steel mill. I still read this book to continue learning although the best is hands on this book will guve you enough knowledge to get hands on and feel comfortable. I recommend this book to everyone trying to get in Maintenance, beginners, novice, even people with experience.

I read the reviews and had to check it out! A lot of information for the industrial side of electrical. Well written and has a good explanation of how things work. I am lost as to how to obtain an answer key to questions if I want to quiz myself. But over all? I’d recommend this anyone wanting to start a career in the industry

This book does a nice job explaining industrial electrical work and motors.

This book covers the basics and has a good review section at the end of each chapter. It is organized well and has great information for someone who is just beginning as an industrial electrician.

Not a bad book I guess, but way overpriced.

Handy reference for the novice or journeyman.

Great book, helps an insane amount when you've got an oven or panel with old school stuff in and no drawing

Great book but was hoping it would cover more on large ammonia systems.

This book clearly hasn't been updated since its release. Refunded it after reading a number of chapters.
