Purchased for chemo treatment that has side effect of neuropathy. My treatment for that particular drug was one hour infusion. I froze two sets overnight with the ice already inserted and packed in a soft insulated lunch bag with ice packs. They sat in the cooler for 3 hours but hospital let me put bag in their freezer when I got there. I placed them on 30 minutes before chemo started. They absolutely freeze your hands and feet. I did have to remove the mittens for a bit to avoid frost bite probably 10 minutes once. At the 30 minute mark they begin to soften and remain cold enough for 40 minutes. I then switched to the second set after another break but I was already so cold it took less time to work. Two Sets was enough to wear before the infusion and the second one carried me until the end and even longer if I tolerated it. Size 10 feet large fit me fine. Only place I didn't feel too frozen was very top of my toes because it was not pressing down too hard there. Husband confirmed my toes indeed felt like ice blocks so good enough. They are not pleasant and it doesn't feel good but if you can just push through it at least you can say you did everything you could to avoid this particular side effect. I would repurchase if needed and recommend to others.

I have really bad nerve pain on my right side and at night my feet get super numb, tingly and itchy. I read somewhere that wrapping your feet in something cold at night can help the pain and sensations in order to go to sleep better. So here I am with these socks and my first two nights wearing them have been amazing. I can actually sleep without issues. I just followed the instructions, inserted them in the socks before bed (no issues with the ice packs), and I was good to go. No need for the hand ones at this time, but I can image they feel just as amazing. Definitely worth it!

I have been on oxalyplatin before and have permanently nerve damage from it. Also, if you’ve ever been on this medication, you know that you have to wear gloves to get anything out of the fridge, and reaching into a freezer is torture. I was dreading going back on it but decided I would try these icing packs that have been suggested in my cancer groups. The doctor and nurses do not recommend them, in fact they are shocked when I tell them I’ll be icing, but they WORK so I’m doing what’s best for me even if the medical community hasn’t caught up yet. I’ve had 3 rounds of oxalyplatin and have had very minimal cold sensitivity and my neuropathy in my hands and feet is no worse. I can reach into my fridge with bare hands and if I’m quick I can even grab things out of the freezer without gloves. I can even drink cold drinks in the days following chemo. 71. Dinner tonight I travel to chemo appointments so I have to put these in an ice chest with other ice packs, wrapped in a towel. They stay close to frozen after 5 hours in my cooler, which admittedly is not a very good cooler. But these are worth every penny. I bought 2 to switch out during my 2 hour infusion, I have just bought a third so that I can keep the ice on longer.

I used these during chemotherapy infusions - one of the side effects of Taxol is nerve tingling and they say if you use the cold packs it will help you avoid neuropathy. They worked for me and I have not experienced any nerve tingling in my fingers or toes. These are great quality, easy to use and clean. My only downside was that I did not find that they stayed cold during my entire infusion, so I bought two packs and then switched them out when the first set got warm.

So far I like this product. Purchased for chemo treatment and they worked well. I familiarized myself with how to insert the gel packs first and was glad I did. They come with gel packs but the nurses brought me the ones from my I had brought as backup from another brand but the packs fit so I used them with the alternate packs. Once you learn how to insert the packs it is easy. They stayed cold the entire time. I had them on for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off back and forth. They stayed cold the entire time but stayed flexible. I put them in the freezer the night before and transported them in a cooler with ice packs to the clinic and home. They were still cold when I returned home. Not sure how long they or the seams will hold up but they appeared well made. The color is good. I was so happy with them I ordered another paid in another color.

Seems to help but should be sold with extra cold packs because only stays cold for about 20 min. Can use lunch box size cold packs which stay cold longer, are cheaper and fit inside the gloves and slippers.

They seem to work well, though the frozen pads seem to thaw fairly quickly. I did not buy an extra set.

Total disappointment, not only in the product, but also the return. The gloves and socks do not hold cold temperature. Also, you cannot tighten them around your wrist or ankles, so that’s likely why it doesn’t retain the coldness. When I went to rerun them, I contacted them twice and they denied they got my return. It was 3 weeks later that I wrote them to say I have a receipt with tracker. Only then did they process my return. Super disappointed and won’t buy or recommend their products.
