Works better than expected.
I ordered 2 of these to lift heavy item. In the past it would take 4 people to lift. Now we can do with 2 of these and 2 people. Works great.

The Power of a Good Pulley System
It is light enough to hold my arm straight out with this pulley system in hand. I like it.

Fit it needs well
Worked really well. Rope has a lot of elasticity so there is quite a bit of work just stretching it out, but runs smooth, easy to grip. Was only loaded with 1400 pounds but had no issues.

For Light Duty Work At Best.
Not what I expected and not what I would stand underneath something I had hoisted up above my head. First, the ad copy explicitly states metal wheels (called sheaves) and metal ball bearings. It does not have that. The wheels are plastic on metal sleeves. So there goes the strength and long term durability of the pulley system. The product states it uses ¼” woven polypropylene rope. The breaking strength is 1200 lbs. but the recommended working load for that rope is about 120 lbs. new. I won’t even get into the shear strength of the machine screws holding the pulley blocks together. Suffice to say the entire design is certainly pushing strength limits and not to industrial standards. Also, in this and some of the other on line pulleys, the illustrations have been altered to show a 1:6 mechanical advantage. In reality, the system as receive is a 1:5 ratio. That short tail end shown in the illustration…. with the knot… not the pulling rope end…must be tied off on the bottom of the upper block’s lower bolt.So if you are looking to lift something valuable or to lift above your head, I recommend you spend the money and get something much more robust. You get what you pay for.

Weak 5 sheave pulley.
My wife and I are physics nuts and are using only these Yatointo pulleys to pull this car up this ramp. Immediately we had some difficulty because the rope that came with it is 1/4” and would not be sufficient to use for 4,430 lbs up a 27 percent grade, by hand. So we opted to try and use it with 3/8” rope but it was almost too big. But we used to pull out cars up with a winch and then my son challenged me to pull it up by hand. I hate to crawl under cars anymore and welded a ramp to pull our cars up on. The use of mechanical advantage is fascinating and we’ve been doing it this way ever since.UPDATE: this pulley literally fell apart as we were pulling (by hand) this BMW 328i up my 27 degree ramps! I was disgusted because I SHOULD have had an easy time. We had TWO (2) of these and shouldn’t have had any trouble whatsoever pulling 3340 lbs with an 8 to 1 mechanical advantage! You can see by the photos I’ve attached that using 3/8” poly rope rather than the 1/4” poly rope, the plastic sheaves literally split down the middle. Save your money and buy HD pulleys!

Good Quality - rope length
Works fine - rope not long enough for my attic - remember fully extended rope length will be 1/4 of actual rope.
