Works just like expected. I have been using two of them to help put up shiplap siding on my new garage. I have also used a regular 2x12x12' board. I thought people would be interested in a comparison. The wooden board flexes more than the aluminum scaffolding plank. The wooden board also weighs more than the aluminum one. But the wooden board costs a lot less. My assessment is that for a few uses, the wooden board is fine. It would be harder to lift up to higher heights, but then two people would probably still be best to lift the aluminum one up very high and two people could likely handle a wood board too. I think that if a 2x4x8' was put on edge under the 2x12x12 board, it would be as strong but heavier. The Menards price for this same item was about 100 dollars more than Amazon. I used a variety of things to hold up the scaffold plank, including A-frame ladders, saw horses, and ladder jacks. Ladder jacks are the most convenient because I can carefully step from one plank to the next to continue working at that level. Most inexpensive extension ladders are not rated for use with ladder jacks. So I ended up deciding to make my own sturdy wood ladders for less than half the money. I also made my own ladder jacks after seeing reviews about how flimsy they were.

I believe my original extending plank is a Warner, and I needed a second plank and did not want to spend 300 plus dollars. I really like the locking mechanism on the warner, but this plank works. It was half the price, is rated at 200 pounds more. It is about 3 inches thick and 11 inches wide, so the height makes it where i can't use it with my little giant on the very top rung, but being an inch narrower fits where warner doesn't also. Seems to be very solid when extended and little more comfortable having 2 on it then I am with 2 on the warner. I would buy again.

This is a solid build and just what I needed. Pretty much ready for use out of the box.

Handy and good price

Good plank, take some time getting use to. It really helped with my basement project. One drawback, it needs better handles to extend and to carry the tool around.

Great product! Not too heavy and is very sturdy. I love that it is extendable. Place between two ladders and secure the Velcro to the opposite side rungs.

Just got it , jumped onto it fully extended and it barely moved I’m about 170-190 love it !!!
