Ex-Lax Regular Strength Stimulant Laxative Constipation Relief, 24 Count

I’m so thankful for this stuff! I know I’ve used it in the past and it worked. My son is autistic (he’s almost 4) and was diagnosed with encopresis due to withholding and constipation. He formed so much anxiety around bowel movements because it hurt…. So, after a lot of research and talking with his pediatrician, we decided to give these a try along with magnesium citrate (we use Calm powder, unflavored). Miralax wasn’t helping since it made him leak more and he got crampy.Within hours of taking just one square, he was finally going (it was day 10). We then attempted a clean out and used a larger dose, and over 5 days he got the impacted stool out. No enemas needed.The biggest thing for him was realizing it didn’t have to hurt to push. He said this helps him and makes it “less scary.” 🙌🏼 He’s extremely picky with food so I was really nervous he wouldn’t eat these, but he loves it!! No cramping or belly aches. The biggest thing for us was figuring out timing. The box says it could take 6-12 hours (I think), but for him it only takes 2-3 hours.TIP: if you’ve been given the OK by a pediatrician but can’t get your kiddo to eat it…. Try melting it and giving it via syringe. Or, try shaving it into “sprinkles” on top of ice cream or yogurt. It works!So happy we found this. I took him off Exlax after weaning him down, and he’s going daily without panicking. No rebound constipation at all!

Works like a charm. Mild stomach discomfort. But does the job. After several hours. Don’t work instantly.

This was my first time ever using ex lax. For starters, wow the taste. For meds, and for what this med does, it’s scary good. That being said, I don’t know how people give this to their kids daily. I took 2 the first time, per the instructions. It did take a few hours to kick in, and once it did, holy hell. So many said this gave them no cramps. I have determined that was a lie. We’re not talking Dulcolax cramps here, but def uncomfortable cramps. The next day, I took one. Mild cramps hit once, but as soon as I ran to the bathroom, they were gone. Definitely did the job!

I love this stuff. I take only when needed of course, but it tastes just like chocolate. I usually take one square instead of two. It won't work until the next day for me. I've learned to stock up buying these on Amazon during the Winter or cooler weather. You don't want to order these in warmer weather. They melt and it's a mess. So now I have about 5 boxes in my cabinet and probably won't use all that til the Winter again. Funny story; I was about 4 or 5 yrs old. My Grandpa was babysitting me at his house for a short time. This was a long time ago when they made the Ex-Lax bars thick and in one bar to a box. It was more like a real chocolate bar wrapped in a thicker silver wrapper. So I saw this sitting on his dresser and not knowing what it was .. and being a little kid ... it looked just like a candy bar when I opened it. Well, needless to say I ate the WHOLE bar. My Mom came to pick me up and we couldn't leave there for hours!!! I was one sick little girl. hahaha I'll never forget that. I'm 59 now and that memory is burned into my mind! lol

This is always worked for me and I have found the more water I drink the quicker it works. I have used it all my life probably about 30 plus years off and on when necessary. My only recommendation is to hide it in your refrigerator so children cannot find it. When my son was little he found it and he thought it was a chocolate candy bar and ate it. Needless to say the rest was history in the bathroom all day long.

Works as described. I was surprised that this tasted like regular chocolate!! I thought there would be a medicine-like or chemical-like taste and there is not. Great product!

This product is easy to take and does work quite well, I did not have any problems with the seller or the delivery of this item. Service was fast and easy.For those of you who suffer from IBS, ex-lax chocolate (basically I believe main ingredient is Senna) is easy to take and does work quite well. The only problem I have with it, is having IBS makes taking this a last resort. I'm sure it doesn't have that effect on everyone. I would just caution those with stomach/digestive issues. I have to make sure I have no plans for the day after I take this product, it can cause some cramping and discomfort (if you have IBS.)For those of you needing this type of item, I do recommend it as something that does work. Just be aware of the sometimes unpleasant side effects some people will experience. I'm sure it works well for many others, and it is easy to take and tastes pretty good for what it is!

I typically use exlax about once every 2 weeks, when I feel the bloating and cramping from eating too much red meat. It's never let me down! I take it about an hour before bed, and as soon as I wake up at 6 I'm ready to go! Great product!!
