Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex (PS2)

Many Crash fans who would call themselves "hardcore" dislike this game. "It's just Crash Bandicoot 3 with long loading times and a few more vehicles" they complain. And I can happily say that that statement is an insult to those at Traveller's Tales who developed the game. OK, maybe the loading screens are a little long, but with a maximum wait of 20 seconds is that really a valid complaint? The game improves upon both the graphics and platforming of the PS1 trilogy in many ways. The graphics are an obvious upgrade, and are nice to look at. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. The platforming is improved by making the levels longer and wider, allowing for more space. The game can be very challenging to complete while getting all the extra bonus collectibles. The vehicle levels aren't very good though, there were some that felt fun like the "Super Monkey Ball"-esque ball levels, but most of them such as the plane levels were just boring and didn't fit in with the game. Thankfully, the game is 3/4 platforming and 1/4 vehicle levels, so this does not distract from the main game too much. Overall, highly reccommend the game, best Crash Bandicoot game ever, huge improvement over the original PS1 trilogy.

OK, so you have to wait a short while for each section of the game to load...but it's worth the wait. This game is so much fun and sooo addictive! Visually, a feast for the eyes and the game control is so precise that you have to be pretty accurate...which adds to the challenge. Be prepared to lose hours as it's impossible to put down.

one of the best games of its generation, it is the best ps2 game that ever came out. good price and delivery was really fast.

I bought this from Retroboy, so when it came, I checked the disc and was pleased as there wasn't a single scratch on it!! I put in to try it out and it works perfectly, blfelt nostalgic as I played this game as a teen so Thankyou Retroboy will defiently purchase from you again!!!

If you love Crash Bandicoot like i do, then have to buy this game. it ranges in difficulty getting harder as the game goes on. I used to play Crash on the PS1 when i was younger. It can get frustrating if you keep dying, and it takes awhile for the levels to load, if you die you have to wait for it to load again (the reason i only gave 4 stars) Really good graphics, and the audio is good. It's highly addictive and fun to play. You can even play as Coco. It has some really cool vehicles too. And some really hard boss levels (to be expected) but that makes it more of a fun challenge. i recommend this game for all Crash fans. good price (i payed £2.55, not £32.95+£2 p&p like it now says for some reason) fast dispatch and delivery. Bought this as a Christmas present for my little sister, she was away over the holidays only got back a week ago, the game doesn't work at all, unreadable, it was cheap so I'm not overly bothered but i did put in a return request out of principle more than anything. As the returns period has expired they would not accept the return, I wouldn't recommend buying anything off them from my experience

Thankyou, my childhood memories are fulfilled with this absolute classic, it's a shame its got a lot of scratches to the disk tho, but it works so that's the main thing.!
