This is a reasonable watch for a young child. This was a 5th birthday present for my son. I picked this watch because it has an analog face, a good price, an easy to use velcro wrist band, and there were no super heros/animation figures on it. Since my son seems to have a new "love" every couple of weeks (currently star wars), I wanted a watch that wasn't going to be (wait for it......) "dated" in 2 months! My son loves the watch. This has a light up face and is very easy to read the time. There is a second hand on this. The band is a little long for my son's wrist (but he is a small kid) but the size of the watch face is perfect for his wrist size. He can easily put this on himself and it looks pretty good. Hopefully this will (another one is coming....) stand the "test of time". So far, it has stood up to at least one week of a very active 5 year old without any problems (and if there are- I will update this review!)

My boys absolutely love these watches! They look awesome and are perfect for school since they don’t make any sounds and have a neutral color that blends in with their uniforms. The fit is great, and they can easily put them on by themselves. They’re stylish, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for.

We’ve gone through several watches with my 9-year-old son. The chief problem has been he messes with the watch band to the point where it breaks. Or he gets fidgety and takes the watch on and off, inevitably losing the watch. This watch has been a game changer. The velcro wristband means there is no loose end of the band for him to play with. And rather than absentmindedly messing with the band, or taking the watch on and off, he focuses his fidgety energy elsewhere, and the watch stays on. Keeping the band on has been critical to him building the habit of wearing and using the watch. We also love that it is not digital and forces him to actually tell time. (WARNING: all the kids in his class have digital watches, many with games on them, so this watch will not add to your child’s “cool” factor, haha.) This is the longest our kid has had and kept a watch. Additionally, he’s a rough and tumble 9 year old, and this watch (including the durable casing that covers the face) has survived all manner of play and roughhousing with zero cracks in the glass. I highly recommend this watch if you’re looking for something that will last!

I work outside quite a bit and take care of lots of dogs, so I thought, at this price, why not try this kid's watch... and guess what: it's great. It doesn't have cartoon characters and doesn't scream that it's intended for children, and the band is infinitely adjustable, which is great for me because my wrists are pretty tiny. It definitely looks rugged, and I wouldn't wear it for a dressy occasion, but it's just right for everyday and especially for working. I've had Indiglo Timex's before and loved that feature, and I miss it on my "better" watches, so I'm delighted with that addition too. (I don't know why they don't mention it in the description.) I wore an Indiglo in classes and lectures for years, and it was so handy to see what time it was in the dark. Now I guess people use their phones, but phones light up really brightly and everyone around you notices. Indiglo is subtle, so no one knows you're wishing the lecturer would shut up! :-) I also like the fact that the case is stainless steel instead of plastic, and it's definitely more durable. The band I expect to fray because I've seen other people's bands like this begin to fray and mat after years, but that's a good ways down the road anyway. So, for an adult or a kid, I think this is a great watch for everyday. And you can't beat the price. Plus, Amazon Prime is so fast on delivery that it arrives in a flash.

I bought this for my 12 year old son. The watch is well-made, is keeping perfect time so far, and he seems to be quite happy with it. The main reason I purchased this one versus others is that I thought the band sounded very comfortable and easy to use. My son has small wrists, so I thought this may fit better and be easier to put on than others. The band is much larger than I expected --could easily be worn by someone twice as large -- and at least at this point is also somewhat rigid and more difficult to use than I expected for a velcro band. I think it will loosen up over time, and is certainly large enough for him to wear on into adulthood if it lasts that long. It's working for him, and we plan to keep it. But, if I was starting over, I would likely pass on the velcro band and get one with a smaller elastic band and "standard" fastener.

Love the watch. I purchased for a 5 year old that wanted to learn to tell time. It is well made, Stays on the wrist well and I bet I heard 4:00 twenty times The first day. It's very cute, durable and I like water resistant.

Achetée pour mon neveu de 6 ans qui voulait une montre plus adulte, débarrassée de fioritures enfantines. Étanche (juste ce qu'il faut, mon neveu na pas l'ambition de devenir homme-grenouille), solide avec un bracelet robuste (par contre il garde ses ambitions de devenir super-héros, pompier et cuistot*), cette montre est le produit idéal dans de tels cas de figures. Le look est sympa et semble avoir fait son petit effet sur son petit poignet. Que dire d'autre ? Il est ravi /-). *En même temps ? Ouais, c'est possible ! C'est lui qui me l'a assuré !

Comfortable very adjustable band fits 5 year old wrist perfectly. She can’t tell time yet but really wanted to wear a watch like everyone else. She loves the sparkles and the unicorn second-hand that rotates around and besides a few scratches and dirt on the band she wears it daily and loves it. We have not gone swimming with it yet but I believe it says water resistant/proof We spent more money on Timex for this feature so she could wear it in a pool or shower without wrecking it. She prefers to take it off so she doesn’t have the wet stretchy fabric band on her wrist (I don’t think she loves this feeling). That is the only unexpected downside but this band goes for small for her tiny wrist (adjusts like a bra strap).
