Great as Backup Drives!
I purchased 2x of these drives. They were well packaged and protected.I have already done an extensive test on one of the drives which already had power on time of more than 1350 days when connected it first. The SMART showed no errors and my Hard Disk Sentinel Surface Test to Reinitialize Disk Surface showed no errors after the scan. So everything is working great on the first disk. The second disk already had power on time of more than 800 days when connected it first. The SMART showed no errors and I will give update once Hard Disk Sentinel Surface Test to Reinitialize Disk Surface has finished. UPDATE: The disk is working perfectly and passed all tests.Overall I am happy with the purchase as both work and will form part of my backup pool. I feel confident and should one fail the pool will recover lost files.Purchasing a new or refurbished drive, any drive can fail at anytime. Saving money on a drive that might last me another 5 years or more is great. Lets see how it goes!

No Complaints
The capacity is great and it’s been reliable for several months. It runs an average of about 3 hours a day in my setup. It is audible so if you need a silent drive, keep looking. Mine runs cool but I have adequate airflow. I tried running it with a usb adapter and no airflow just to see how warm it gets and I wouldn’t recommend that because it gets quite warm.

Yes they are used and some 4 years old but tested well
Yes they are used and some 4 years old but tested well. Great price for these drives but they are well used. When I got them I tested them and they were all green and ready to go. Please test them as soon as you get them so if there is a problem you can return them. I bought them for my NAS.

My unit have defects and long history of used for 6.7 years
The media could not be loaded. I hear from other costumers the hard drive it is a little used but man 58528 hours equal 6.7 years that it is insane.Another issue it is the typical noise the hard drive do before to fail very disappointed whit my unit. I will started to return process I am really don't recommend this hard drive refurbished units. First time I will like to try a unit like this but man that it is very frustrating. Speed it is 32mb for seconds wen in the original specified 350 MB for second that means this hard drive it is going really fast to fail son

Suspicious...
Bought two of these. Both mine had 30k hours (!) on them. They work fine, but I can't deny I'm worried. As a mainly SSD person, I'm not sure how many clicks and noises HDDs are supposed to make before you get concerned...Price is insane though. On diskprices.com, these are the best price per tb drives to come from a big name brand. 24TB for 160$ is an absolute steal.Agh. Get these with backblaze, or a raid 5 setup or something. As long as you have some contingency, you should be fine?

Good seller and good hard drives, just use your brain.
I read one buyer ended up with a ticking drive which is a dead drive. Mine works great. I bet his was damaged in shipping. I'm gonna buy another one. I'm sure they'll fix it if there's a bad one. In my experience, it happens to good drives out of nowhere, but it's because someone dropped it and never told, usually shipping. So quite honestly I wouldn't blame the seller unless you get 5 and then there's more than one, at that point I'd blame them cause they need to package better to anticipate these shippers

Works well out of the box
The drive is what you expect - I hooked into my system and started a data transfer job which took 10+ hours. The drive could handle it and performed as expected (no noticeable noise, or slowing down in write speeds). I think this is good value for money.

Working fine so far. And you can't beat the price for a 12TB drive.
I just purchased my fourth drive. They are being used in a Synology 8-bay NAS. They're quiet, fast, and run cool.If any fail I'll update this review. So if no updates, they are all running fine.
