Worked or our situation
needed a KVM for switching 5 PC to a monitor in the system rack. Worked perfectly very slight slow on the switch over but at the price its acceptable compromise. The unit comes with a power supply but you don't need the PSU, the KVM takes its power from the USB connections to the PC.

Almost perfect
This was the 2nd KVM switch I bought from Amazon. The first is being returned as it didn’t do what it was supposed to do. This one does: switches all 3 of the KVM elements from 1 PC to another in the rack (only 3 in my rack, room to add 1 more to the stack with this KVM switch if needed) with 1 button press.I only needed 1 monitor for the configuration so the fact that this switch can only output to 1 isn’t a problem for me.Where I’ve dropped half a star is because the last thing I added to the configuration was its stand alone power supply. That made everything cut out and refuse to work. But since each PC is connected to the switch with both a DP cable & a ‘printer style’ to USB cable to power the switch, I’m assuming that the 3 auxiliary power supplies are enough and maybe I’d only need the independent power supply (provided) if I had fewer PCs in the configuration? All 3 PCs need to be on 24-7 so the switch always had the auxiliary power supply. The other half star is deducted because the switch couldn’t cope with a Smart Keyboard. I resolved this by using a ‘normal’ keyboard and plugging in a smart card reader into one of the front available USB 2.0 slots. This KVM switch was cheaper than the original & has growth room for one more PC if needed (which the original didn’t) so I’m glad the original switch was not fit for purpose & is being returned because apart from only 1 monitor out, this one worked out a much better purchase all around.

Wish I'd bought 1 years ago!
Easy to install, works just as described.Wish I had bought 1 years ago to replace my old PS/2 keyboard and mouse connections.

Works all right, but...
It's nice to have one switch handling up to 4 USB devices an HDMI. As instruction suggests the external power is advised. Not so nice: the external switch button has no indication of currently selected input. While it may seem to be a minor issue, it defeats the purpose a little as the whole idea is to tuck all the mess with cables away.

Frustrating!
Poor, constant issues with clicking mouse, or not clicking altogether, extremely frustrating!!!
