Q: Will this work as a meat tenderizer?

I have tried it once, it is a little agressive for 1/2 inch steak and the handle is not designed for hand hold, i think a T shape stainless steel hammer would be a better choice. By the way, this bushing bit is made from tungsten and copper, not sure if it can be used for food.

No. It is not like sandpaper. The tool with the 25 pins has a head diameter of approx 1-5/8" with 5 pins across and 5 down making 25 pins. The tool with 16 pins has a smaller head diameter, 1-1/4" (1/2" smaller), with 4 across and 4 down making 16 pins. The distance between the pins is the same, as the tool with 25 pins is larger.
