My house has the old-style dryer plugs and I used it to get my old air compressor working. I’m not really a fan of any of the current 220 plugs, to be honest, but this one seems to be fine. Hasn’t caught my house on fire or killed me yet. The “good old” ones were Bakelite and susceptible to cracking when dropped. This seems to be a less brittle plastic, but I haven’t done a drop test.

Effecient Plus
Sealed install by filling with Lexall (similar too, but far better than silicone, etc.) and it is totally waterproof now. Been doing this for years with all my terminal ends. This model makes it easy to do.
