Amazing product!
Received in perfect condition. I feel as though the price is worth it. If you were to order straight from the site it would be £21 shipping and the cousin is around £30 so I paid the same price and got it much sooner. The paper is very interesting, you can see through it but there is no bleed through (I use muji pens and mildliners). I recommend doing pen tests at the back of the hobonichi first.I use it for tracking habits, work day, personal things and really anything. I have found a lot of use for it and have even bought a hobonichi weeks to use as a reading journal.I have a clear case on mine too. Overall, very very pleased and will continue to use.

The hype is real.
I love stationery. Kept seeing planning videos of the cousin since last year. However. I avoided purchasing one because of Tomoe River paper, with concerns that there would be bleed through and a lot of ghosting. This is not the case. Yes, you have to select the types of pens you use, and there is some ghosting. But not as I thought. So excited. Got a weeks also.

Lovely Journal / planner.
The hobonichi is an old favourite which I have not used for the last two years. I didn’t purchase one because of the high price tag and the last one I struggled to fill!! The previous one was flawed by my creativity was very limited at the time and pages were left half filled. The cons of the book this year is the change in paper quality so you do get ghosting and it’s not the same tomoe river paper I enjoyed previous years. And of course the high price tag of the book. Those two reasons are why I have not given it a full 5* rating. However, the pros of the book far outweigh the cons. In one book you have every planner, diary and calendar you could need. In fact, unless you have a lot to write, there’s too much space. But that’s what makes it a must buy!!! To fill space you can write daily journal and add photos, add stickers, write things to remember like recipes, and a whole open book of ideas. (A journal prompt list is just one way to find ideas to fill the pages, along with you tube videos and even Pinterest for ideas). One planner I will use to track health issues. The column agenda will be ideal to plan the day, and the monthly calendar a view at a glance, and of course the daily pages, a journal which I will also decorate with stickers and maybe photos as my memory isn’t as it was.I do have a Filofax pocket and a moleskine pocket for next year as carry around planners, but the main diary for 2025 is the hobonichi cousin and I am pleased to be having it back this coming year. The pros far outweigh the cons!!

Over hyped
Over priced. Thin / transparent paper. The gride lines are too small for normal writing. Designed for people who value style over function.

Arrived Damaged.
I have had this diary before and really enjoyed using the different sections of the diary such as the monthly, weekly and daily sections. I also like the paper that are used in the Hobonichi as it really absorbs the ink from a fountain pen. The reason I only gave it four stars was because it arrived damaged on one of the corners and meaning these diary's aren't cheap I would of expected better care being taken when storing and sending it.
