I ordered this Spooktacular Creations Renaissance Costume Women, Velvet Medieval Dress for Women, Irish Renaissance dress to add to my family’s costume collection.We love costumes, our home is bursting with corsets and doublets and whatnot. I don’t know that I would actually call this an Irish Renaissance dress, it actually combines several period styles. It’s a great princess gown, a great Ye Olde Times dress. Fun for costumes or cosplay.I ordered this in the red color, it is a lovely deep red. I ordered a size L because I’m fairly busty, the adjustable lacing was great and this fit my chest and my much smaller waist well. I have a classic hourglass figure, larger on top, smaller in the waist and hips. I liked being able to adjust the lacing, it can be tricky to fit a curvy figure. I wear a 6 in jeans, a M in a stretchy tee, but a L in a button down blouse (and sometimes size larger in a dress top, depending on cut). You can adjust both front and back laces, very comfortable.The dress was very long on me, puddling on the floor, but I expected that, I’m just a bit over 5’2”. I love the long skirt look, but if you’re short like me, maybe tack up the hem if you’re wearing it out to Trick or Treat.This is a lightweight faux velvet. It isn’t see-thru, but you can see the lines of your undergarments. I wear this with a corset and petticoats, so it doesn’t really matter, but be aware the fabric is a bit thin and clingy in spots.All in all, a nice, inexpensive princess/queen/RenFest dress up gown.

This Renaissance costume looks great for pictures. It doesn't look as good up close, and you can see the cheapness in the material while viewing it on someone while in person. This is not something I would go out wearing if I didn't have layers underneath to cover me in the likely scenario that the cloth tears or rips. It still looks really nice and creative, and it would fit in at any costume party or Renaissance fair.

I ordered this dress for my daughter for an upcoming Run Fair, but it was a bit too big for her as she is still delicately built in her upper body. So she said I should try it on and it was perfect. It is so comfortable and well-made! I am currently seeking other costume options for her, but excited this ended up working out for me as I truly love this costume dress! I will be wearing it happily as I eat my turkey leg! IYKYK!

I am fairly happy with the costume. It looks just like the picture. In terms of sizing, I would say it's generally true to size, however, it's tight in my shoulders and bunches slightly. I wish it had a lining and bra shelf. The seams on the interior are a little itchy and I think a lining would help with that a lot.

I ordered this Spooktacular Creations Renaissance Costume for my daughter, who is 5.8 and usually wears a size small in women's clothing. I ordered a size Large based on her height, as that is what the size chart indicated, with the idea that we would be able to make the bodice smaller with the cords. You can adjust both the front and the back. This worked quite well; however, I do think a medium would have been long enough as well. This dress in a size large came all the way to the floor for her. We pulled the cords as closed as possible, and I think this dress looks nice on her. There's still some room to grow, but it doesn't look like it's overly big. The fabric is soft and the sleeves are awesome. For the price (at the time of writing this review, this dress is listed for $31.99), this is a great deal.

This costume is actually really quite nice. It isn't nearly as cheaply built as I thought it might be. The fabric is nice and the stitching is good. The ties are pretty good also. It seems to run pretty close to the actual size I expected. There are a few spots that are a little itchy, but that is expected. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of costume.
