Hard for age 8 but otherwise fun
A fun concept and my kids love making these bracelets but the instructions for the required knots are too much for my 8 and 10 year old kids. They still need adult help for the knots or else their creations quickly unravel which is disappointing

Watch the videos of how to make different bracelets. The paper this comes with us confusing. Bought for my daughter but when grandson came over he wanted one too. They trade bracelets. I enjoy making them myself. Once you get the hang of it let the joy begin

More difficult than I expected
I bought this for my daughter’s 8th birthday. She was put off by the difficulty in getting started and it has taken me a few times watching video tutorials to figure out how to make the bracelets. I was hoping that this would be simple enough for her to make in her own - maybe when she’s older. It would be fine for a child comfortable with tying a basic knot.

DO NOT BUY — broke immediately
Broke immediately. I carefully followed the instructions. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and her disappointment made it even worse. It’s cheap and poorly made.

Try it before you buy if you can then decide if you want it.
I wasn't too impressed. I got bored with it within 20 min. If there is a larger one and if the two ends has retractable claws to hold thevends better as you spin I think it would be more effective. I had to stop several times because the ends just couldn't stay on long before coming off and messing up my twist designs. So hard pass for me. Good thing I opted for a used one that cost less. Cool concept but could use a better connection of the ends that hold the strings for you.
