Mepilex Border Flex 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm) Hospital Quality Dressings

My surgeon recommended that I purchase these from Amazon as a means of keeping my surgical incision dry and away from contaminants. They work better than expected. They are definitely waterproof as long as you make sure all sides are secured to your skin. Best of all, they come off easily and do not leave your skin feeling sticky for the adhesive. ALSO, and most important, they are made with latex free adhesive, so your sensitive skin does not break out in a rash or blisters.

Absolutely the very best for people who are on blood thinners, and have wounds to heal, however, they are expensive.

Works perfectly for post surgery site. The hospital didn't have enough bandages to send home with me, so this one from Amazon are better. Very good protection on delicate site.

Ended up getting cellulitis in a surgical site due to an adhesive allergy and used these to help promote healing. They caught all the gunk and helped self seal since I was not able to have internal stitches or external stitches. Definitely recommend!!

Worked during post surgery care. Bandage stayed on and was easy to get off. It is not waterproof from my experience so I had to switch to something else when I showered to keep my incision area clean.

This bandage adheres well and doesn't bruise the skin when removing. You can shower with it and your wound stays dry. The thickness also protects your wound from additional bumps and tears (mine was a lower leg wound). Unfortunately, I had a skin reaction to one of the ingredients. The area right around the bandage edges and just under the adhesive area began to redden more each day. Took it off after day 5 and by the next day the redness and skin breakdown was back to normal. Not sure if it's the silicone or a component of the adhesive, but my sensitive skin could not tolerate it. I had to switch to a non-stick pad and paper tape. If your skin tolerates it, then this is a great product to try.

Strong and absorbent which is why I ordered them. It's a good strong material. Recommend.

I bought these before I found the ones my wound care center uses (Optifoam Gentle EX). I noticed that the store bought ones (Neo-G Opti-heal) adhesive tended to unstick and roll up, so I tried the Mepilex... same problem. I can't rate these higher than 3 stars. The foam is decent, but they don't stick like the Optifoam Gentle EX.

1. Very expensive 2. From previous experience they do the job very well. 3. Product was delivered in a padded envelope but it appears to have been squashed by a heavy parcel or box. As a result the package was ripped opened. The contents do not appear to be damaged but I will not confirm that until I use all of them..
