I am impressed- I have used several different plasma cutter over the years- but never anything this cheap, or with these mode options. This was just delivered today, I unboxed it and thought I must have gotten the wrong model because it’s so small in size. The 55MP right out of the box had the air fitting on it, cutting in minutes. Scrap 3/8” first, right to 5/8”plate that cut really clean. Mesh cutting mode through expanded as advertised, rust removal works also. I did cut a little bit with the 120v adapter that’s included through 11g, it does work, but don’t expect to cut 3/8 material. 240v rips really good. Arc gouge works awesome- don’t save the money and skip that- arc gouge worth every penny. Yes, it’s a budget machine- no I don’t expect it to last 20 years- but for a hobby/ weekend warrior- I don’t see a better budget option. I can’t speak for longevity or customer service- but a quick run down- it’s worth it. I will push it to its max 1” and update if I burn it up. Also- I had it as Amazon said in a couple of days of ordering.

Works just as good if not better than the Eastwood plasma cutter that crapped out on me. Great buy for the money

I was very skeptical of these machines making claims that machines 3 times the price don't do. I've been amazed by my cutter many times it works well on 110, and on 220 it cuts almost everything.

Great little light weight plasma cutter! Did some work cutting the bed floor out of a 64 jeep truck. Did have one minor issue where it stopped cutting but Arc captain responded right away with email. They got me up and running right away.

The price I payed was a great value and this little machine is what they say it is, it’s a hole lot cheaper than gas torches and a hole lot simpler to use for cutting all metals

This thing a beast on 220v was making some leaf spring shackles out of 1/2 plate and cut clean with no issues Played around with it on 110v and that was very limited it will kick the braker easily

I rarely review products that I purchase on Amazon as I never seem to have the time to do so. I’d been looking for a moderately priced plasma cutter but didn’t really see what I was looking for. I had previously owned a plasma cutter, but it and my entire home and shop was destroyed in the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. After looking at the numerous positive reviews for this Arc Captain plasma cutter, I was curious to learn more! I have purchased other items from Arc Captain and had been pleased with those purchases. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and I liked what I saw. Three year warranty, great customer service. I bought the plasma cutter and it was delivered very promptly to my home. Packaging was excellent and the unit appeared to be pristine with no obvious dents or dings. After unboxing I went to hook up my air compressor line. How was I supposed to hook up this supplied 1/4” red tube to my existing quick connector line? I tried removing the barb fitting from the unit but it wouldn’t come out. So I found an awkward but yet effective way to make a solid air connection. I only had 120 volt power available so I used that to attempt to cut a piece of 1/8” steel. It wouldn’t cut it! I tried all sort of variations with air psi and amperage’s settings, tried it on rusty steel, brand new steel ground lightly to ensure I had a good grounding point. Nothing worked. Yes I read the operator’s manual several times to no avail. Over a course of several weeks I sent 6 emails to customer support. They were very polite and seemed very caring but all they offered me was to try solutions that didn’t work or I had already tried. Finally they suggested that my torch could be defective and that they would send me a replacement. I realized that my 30 day window for a return to Amazon was closing in on me. What if I waited to receive a new torch and that wasn’t the solution? I returned the unit to Amazon and got a refund. I found a more powerful unit for less money named Silatu. This worked perfectly out of the box. Guess what, there were air adjustment controls on the front panel as well as a quick connect on the back panel that hooked up instantly to my compressor air line. Buyer beware!

Works great, been running it on a 20a circuit to cut some 1/8" steel. I'd remove half a star if I could for the stupid air fitting on the back - fortunately, you can swap it for a standard 1/4" air chuck nipple. Just be careful, it's in there pretty solid. I used a 20v impact drill with deep socket to get it off.

This thing is amazing I thought for the price I wouldn’t get a great plasma cutter.. So I watch probably 25 you tube videos of people doing the reviews on it and I couldn’t wait to get it.. when I got it I used it just like the reviews cutting all different sizes.. you won’t be disappointed… very happy and highly recommended it… I keep finding more things to cut out and more projects…
