Oil-Based Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner-1/2 Pint
It's an excellent product, but just a very small mini-me tin. Otherwise, everything was smooth from purchase to painting. The vendor couldn't have has been better.

Mixed with Floetrol to make cell activator in acrylic pouring.
Worked very well as a cell activator when mixed with European Floetrol. Only a few drops needed so very small tine will last me a long time.

Don't get why they don't show the ml Sizing on the picture. This is clearly to mislead buyers in Australia. No one understands "pint" here. This can is tiny and how is it priced at triple $AUD digits?

I'm replacing the carpet in my living room with 100% pine flooring. I have to sand, stain and finish each plank. The pre-stain keeps the stain from being absorbed more by the softer parts of the boards than the grain. This is called gain reversal and it makes the wood look strange. The pre-stain goes on just like stain using a clean cloth. It does add a little bit of amber color to the wood, but once you start applying stain, it doeesn't really change the color much.

I used to pre stain some pine.

I don't use a pre-stain conditioner for every project. Most of my woodworking projects highlight endgrain cuts, and I rarely use a stain for these. But all projects with jointed panels and most with customer-facing normal grain features, where I use a wood stain, get pre-stain conditioner first. It creates a beautiful, even staining pattern that looks much better (in my opinion) than similarly stained furnishings that don't have a conditioner applied. If you don't typically use this, I recommend a side-by-side experiment. Glue jointed scrap wood pieces together and compare with and without pre-stain. (Or just watch a YouTube video.) Minwax is my go-to brand for pre-stain conditioner, stains, and several other finishes. I've never had a problem with a Minwax product. Strongly recommended. I will continue to buy this.
