Excellent Revision Guide
GCSE's in our house this year, and while we're still a way out this little guide has come in useful. It's less intimidating than the big guides and more easily transportable. The information is well laid out, with all the key points for answering exam questions. It is laid out by topic and within which paper each subject is found, making it handy to target revision to the specific paper. This is fairly standard, these days and something I would have loved when I did my GCSEs!There are many questions for students to answer too, with each alternate page having questions pertaining to the topic on the other leaf of the double-page spread. The book is cheaper than many review books, making it an excellent choice for those on a budget. It's small on price but still has all the knowledge the student will need for their exam.

AQA GCSE Chemistry Organise and Retrieve Your Knowledge
I was a bit surprised when I opened the parcel at how small the book is - roughly A5 sized - but this is the ideal size to slip into your school bag / hand bag / work bag - so you can revise on the go. The book is split into ten sections covering all the modules for the AQA Chemistry GCSE, then concludes with two sets of mixed questions, and sections on the required practicals; working scientifically and maths skills. The main sections are all laid out in the same way, a double page spread with the left hand page (Organise) covering the information on a specific topic e.g. the difference between atoms, ions and isotopes - and the right hand page (Retrieve) being a list of accompanying questions for the topic. I love the conciseness of the language, it's a very well written revision text.I have worked as a school science technician for many years, so it is slightly annoying to find an error in a book from Collins. However, the diagram of the meniscus on page 64 is incorrect. It says that the reading on the burette should be taken from the bottom of the meniscus - this is true when the meniscus is concave as most liquids will probably be at GCSE. However, in the diagram (for some reason) they have chosen a liquid with a convex meniscus so the reading should be taken from the top. The diagram needs changing so that it shows a concave meniscus. (This was the only error I found and I will be e-mailing them about the error).Overall though - very useful revision guide from Collins.

Comprehensive and Organized Chemistry Revision Resource
This product has been an absolute lifesaver for my GCSE Chemistry revision. The content is clearly laid out, making it easy to navigate through different topics and focus on areas where I need improvement. The "Organise and Retrieve" approach is genuinely effective, as it helps me consolidate what I’ve learned and reinforces key concepts. What I love most is the way the material is broken down into manageable sections with summaries, diagrams, and bullet points. It’s visually engaging and doesn’t feel overwhelming, even when tackling challenging topics. The questions included are varied, offering a good mix of recall and application that mimic exam-style problems.I also appreciate the tips and tricks provided throughout the book, which help with understanding tricky areas. The structure makes it simple to track progress and revisit parts that need more work.Overall, this resource has boosted my confidence for the exam. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an organized, thorough, and easy-to-use Chemistry revision guide.

A Compact Powerhouse for Students
this A5 guide is an absolute gem for GCSE prep. it’s brilliantly organised, with bite-sized key points on one page and practice questions on the opposite. the colour-coded higher-tier info is a genius touch, letting students focus on their level.the compact size makes it super portable, though the small print might not suit everyone. priced under £7, it’s fantastic value for stress-free revision!

Excellent study aid
I got this book for my daughter who is currently in her first year of GCSE's and she has said it is very helpful. Whilst she is not currently doing the specific GCSE course this book is aimed to accompany she has said the sections are nicely laid out and she can easily jump around the book to the specific topic she is currently learning for some additional assistance and practise. She is fining this very helpful alongside her own learning material. The book itself is of a high quality in full colour and printed on good quality paper. If you are currently taking this specific Chemistry course this book will be a great addition to your studies. Even if you aren't taking the specific course the book will still be very helpful for anyone learning Chemistry at a GCSE type level.

Handy revision tool, good for re-learning earlier topics
My daughter is going her GCSE's in May so I got her this Chemistry book to help her with her revision. The book is really thick - it covers a ton of topics. The main thing she liked was the fact it goes right back to the topics she was taught in Year 9 and has forgotten most of - she said it was so handy and well explained, which made it easier to remember. It is organised in the same order as exam questions, getting harder as it goes through so it lets them build up their confidence on the easier topics first. The tests and questions are well explained and the level of detail is superb. The answers are included if she gets stuck too.
