ARMOR TOOLFace Clamp - 6" C-Clamp Locking Plier with Auto Adjust Design & Swivel Pads - 6FC-70

I bought this for about 2/3 the price of a similar Kreg Jig self adjusting clamp I had purchased and needed a second clamp. They both have the same positive and negative characteristics, with the Kreg Jig having large engraved+/- markings for adjusting the tension screw. This Armor-Tool badly needs similar makings for their tension screw. They both are a huge improvement (and huge price jump) from non-automatic clamps. But...both of these self-adjusting clamps work one handed maybe four out of five times. They both have the same issue with the tension adjustment having zero pressure every few times they are clamped and having to open it and reset the mechanism with two hands. Very frustrating, but even with that flaw they are both way better than non-self adjusting clamps. If they were closer in price to the non-self adjusting versions I'd have more than just two.

These would be great if they worked. There is still a tiny adjustment screw, so not truly self-adjusting. I’ve returned three already after only several uses.

If you are still using self adjust or even worse, f clamps for work holding you are living in the past! These auto adjust clamps are the now! They have saved me massive amounts of time already with thier easy one handed operation so I can flip peices around and clamp them back down with little effort to get right back to the real work at hand. I can guarantee I will be buying more in the future and if you are reading this you should so the same.Also, yes it does fit perfectly in the kregjig so you can quickly clamp onto boards to drill pocket holes too! The armor tool handles are actually less cumbersome than the other auto clamps and feel more natural in the hand. Again, do yourself the favor and get a pair.

I wish they were not so expensive, but I love and use this clamp all the time. The mechanism that allows for the same pressure each time you clamp something together is built very well. It's not built as hefty as Kreg, but I have not been disapointed, and I have used it alot.I will definitely purchase more in the future.

Don't be fooled. These are no better than the Kreg Auto Clamps. I really thought I had found the golden goose, but they are of poor quality and are not any more reliable than the Kregs in my shop. Just make a quality clamp with an adjustment knob...I'll do the rest.

What I like about these clamps is you only need one hand to use. But, first you need to set the tension screw to the amount of pressure you want. The tension screw can get loose or fall out with use. The little spring on it is of little help. With that problem I used a little dab of finger nail polish on the threads. You get the same pressure no matter the thickness. And the surface area on the contact area is large enough I did not damage my sheetrock or straight edge.

Have now had these since march (it is October), still functioning wonderfully. value for money and sturdiness were not given full stars.value - due to being expensive for a clamp, yet cheaper than comparable brands (i.e. kreg)sturdiness - still in excellent working order, but the alignment of the jaws isn't as true as the day I received the product.I really am glad I purchased these clamps.

I bought this item for its deep reach when clamping work to my bench. The concept is nice, and the tool seems to be well made, but the pressure adjustment is fussy, and it is difficult to clamp at high pressure (takes too much hand force). I keep mine set for moderate pressure.

Excellent clamps. It’s a pity I can’t buy them in the UK I would buy again and again,can’t be faulted.

You can instantly clamp two boards together to get them lined up exactly where you want them for screwing them together. Tension can be adjusted if too loose or too tight. Works great.
