About Time: A First Look at Time and Clocks

This seem like it would be good for a 5 1/2 year old. Pictures seemed outdated

Interesting, informative, often lovely illustrations and text. Definitely for kids who have an interest in this – – there’s some nice depth here. If your kid asked you a lot of questions about how things work and why a minute is a minute, etc., then this is the book for them. Spend some time reading it with them and educate yourself as well! It’s really pretty cool stuff.

The diagrams in the book are wonderful!Perhaps I didn't read the description carefully enough.This book is too junior-level for the 9-year-old it was destined for.I'd peg it as for the 6-8 year old reader.

My adult son is autistic and really plugged into time, clocks, weather, etc. I wanted to find something about time and clocks that was on his reading comprehension level -- yet not for "little kids." This was a hit when he opened it up Christmas morning. He picks it up all the time to read. The illustrations are great also.

I had a project about time. I couldn't find in good books till I found this book. It explains all about clocks and time. I think the only con was how small the lettering was when I read it but still a awesome book!

Bought this for my grandson for a homework assignment. Nearly fell asleep trying to read it. Has all the info you could want, but not presented in a way that would make you want to read it
