Purchased specifically for use with the Korg NTS-1 synthesizer and a midi (DIN output) keyboard. I can confirm that this is indeed a Type A adaptor, and does work well with the Korg. A little expensive for what it is, but perfect for its intended use.

Bought for my Korg NTS-1 and Circuit Tracks
Works a great without issue. One thing with the NTS-1 to remember is that midi channels are from 0 to F so channel 0 on the NTS-1 is channel 1 on your controller.

Korg Volca FM 2
Works with Korg Volca FM 2 and my usb/ five pin lead to transfer Dexed patches. Expensive but worth it.

It does what it claims but is a bit overpriced IMHO.

Perfect for my Korg NTS-1.
Now I can use my MIDI keyboards using this cable. Not cheap but does the job as advertised. Shame Korg hadn't included it one with the NTS-1. Hopefully it'll be robust.

MIDI Type A cable mini TRS to MIDI DIN works
If you're looking for a mini TRS to MIDI cable and your device is recent, then it almost certainly uses MIDI Type A This cable is a mini audio jack (TRS 3.5 mm) to the standard 5 Pins DIN Female - Type A. This works with my Novation Mini and other synthesizers that use the mini audio for the MIDI output. I learned about the Type A because a few days earlier I had ordered the Poyiccot 5 pin DIN Female to 3.5mm Male Connector Jack Plug Wire Cord for MIDI Keyboard from amazon and it did not work. ($8) This ExcelValley cable did the job, though costing $14.99.
