CompTIA Network+ Practice Tests: Exam N10-007

Sybex puts out the best practice tests for the CompTIA exams. I have used their series in the past with success and was pleased to have the same result for the Network+ exam. This is a book of stand alone practice questions and answers to be used as a final preparation tool before sitting for the exam. The book comes with an online companion, which has the same questions, but allows for making custom tests as far as number of questions and topics. I went through the questions a little at a time online first, then used the actual book as a final exam of sorts right before taking the actual test. I felt like all the practice questions prepared me so that I did well on the exam. If you are studying for your Network+, this book is a must have- and it is reasonable in price.

I found this practice test very important in helping me pass my Net Plus exam. Below are a few points I hope you will find helpful.-a few questions not in exam objectives like some storage technology-if using kindle on your desktop, the numbering of questions is not fully visible (Ok on an i-phone)-Questions follow order of objectives, so it's easy to follow-Contains pictures of command line and TS tools that's very helpful-Answer key provides in depth explanation and repeated definitions that allows you to absorb concepts easily

I am using this to study for the exam. It’s affordable and has lots of questions. I like that they have subject questions in addition to whole tests. A great addition to a future edition would be prompts and ideas for performance based questions.

This is a good study tool for helping to find your weak areas. It's not a brain dump book with questions directly from the exam. Use this for what it's intended to do, and you should be fine.I'd like to see somewhat more coverage of wireless and I'd like to see an online test with a few simulations, but it will help with the test preparation.

Using this to study for my Network + exam

Which of the following US bodies are capable of imposing international export controls on software products?.....Seriously? That's a networking question?It seems like a lot of people find this book helpful, but i'm going through many of these questions and they're just ridiculous. Many questions expect you to make assumptions about a scenario, and then others make assumptions for you. Other questions force you to think about it from only one direction, and that's just not something I can do (engineer brain) which means i'll get it wrong every time. I'm a telecommunications technician by trade and I can tell you there's ALWAYS more than one way to approach a problem.CAN cat5 cable produce gigabit speeds? Yes of course, but not very far in the first place when you consider real world scenarios. We're talking drop ceilings with power cabling and EMI all over the place. If you have an office with a ton of computers upgrading to gigabit, YES you'll want to upgrade to cat6/6a. To say that's not an immediate concern is absolute ridiculousness. Real world, guys.I used to work in Water treatment and I had books like this before. You'll score 60's (if you're lucky) the whole time thinking that all your hard work in class was for nothing, only to realize the practice books are so unnecessarily hard that you breeze through the actual exam. Some people say that's a good thing; I disagree. The amount of frustration you go through with these books making you feel like you suck is just not worth it. The Exam Compass website has much better questions (though no explanations) and you can get practice tests on Udemy for ten bucks. There's just too much minutia in this book for my tastes.If you're still planning to get this book, make sure you don't beat yourself up too hard if you're getting a lot wrong. And hey, if anyone disagrees with me, you're welcome to your opinion as well. I'll never argue that someone is wrong if they felt this book helped them out. We all study differently.Good luck y'all!UPDATE 8/3/2020:So I just passed my exam with an 805 out of 900! I'm glad I skipped most of this book in favor of Jason Dion's practice exams on Udemy. His was super close to the real thing and a much better value. Again, no disrespect to those who liked this book, but I absolutely do not endorse it in any way.

Scored 767 on the exam on the first attempt thanks to Jason Dion and this Sybex practice question book. The online and mobile app portions were great additions. In fact, I only used online materials to study. Did 650 questions in 2 weeks. They really helped you familiarize with CompTIA’s style. Some are harder than actual questions but that’s a good way to test your knowledge of the concepts. Some are pretty similar to what I had on the exam.Don’t hesitate. Get this book. They are the best. Hands down!

This are some of the best prep questions you'll find. What I love about them is the online application you can use to create your own custom exams. I actually didn't use the book, but took the questions online since the exam is a computer-based test. You can register your purchase of the book online and get access to all of the questions in the book online. Pair this with Jason Dion's questions, study hard with a good course and book, aim for scores 80% or greater and you should be good to go for the exam!

Recommend this book for anyone who is planning to take the exam. Plenty of questions inside to test your knowledge.

You are supposed to have access to an online test bank - I've registered and got a code but Wiley's online system is broken. Wasted a lot of time and money to get onto these.

This is a super resource for anyone studying this course. It is exactly what it says on the cover - practice tests - but each chapter covers a specific area - and there are subgroups within each, which are listed in the front section, so if you are weak in a particular area you can focus only on the sections that will challenge your knowledge and understanding. Of course it is also great for general practice with every aspect as you can just work through the book at your own pace. The answers are in the back, as would be expected, but they are also explained in detail as to what was right and why, as well as what was wrong, and why. So not only will you gain confidence from regular practice throughout this book, the answers will help you gain a greater depth of knowledge as you go as well.

I found these practice tests really helpful.Getting the opportunity to practice with these really gave me the confidence to face the real thing as I felt informed and ready. Talking to other students who were going in blind, I really felt like I had a foot up.The text is well written, easy to follow and contains accessible material.

No stone left unturned here- essential handbook for revision and testing practice. Well organised, clearly presented, plenty to get your teeth into. Definitely recommend.
