Is there a written explainatin of the symbols include with the game as well as hiatorical info?** A: The symbols all have significance (as far as game function) and are the designs found on the games in the tombs of UR. There are two distinct games which can be played on this board which are explained in the rules. There is no explanation of what the symbols mean outside of their function in the two games. It is a fun game and is proof that a good game is always good game regardless of age. **Q: Is this game only for two people?** A: Yes, it is essentially a two-"team" game, you could have four players, but there are only two sides, regardless. It is considered a precursor to Backgammon, and from gameplay it has a not-dissimilar feel, though clearly a different game. If you like Backgammon, I suspect you will enjoy this. It has similar risk/no risk decision making choices, among other things. **Q: What are the dice made of in this game?** A: The entire game is made of wood. Each player has four pyramid-shaped dice with two of its four corners marked. When the dice are thrown the score is as follows: 1 tip=1point, 2 tips=2 points, etc. **Q: What's on the backside?** A: The top, of course, has the various symbols for game play. The sides all around have a repeated eye pattern with lines. The bottom of the board is blank except for "made in China," a few numbers, and "compliant for formaldehyde." Took our game rules from Youtube British Museum video, and we've had a very competitive time. A whole game can change on one roll of the dice (there are 2 sets included so no need to pass them across each time as you've one set each), it's just a great game!
