Why are you asking this? It says right on the package that the product is from France and packaged in California.

Does it taste or smell like fish?

It smells a bit. It also has a slight fish taste

Is there any information about mercury levels and the source of this product?

I emailed the company and asked this but they did not reply to the question. They did reply to my question about what types of fish were harvested.
