Lid does not close, Seller refuses to offer refund past "policy" date
I ordered one of the file boxes hoping it would pose a good storage alternative, knowing that the reviews were a bit hit or miss - now I wish I hadn't. The look of the box is great, and allows you to keep it out in plain view if needed and is aesthetically pleasing. I was super excited when I received it - but the reality of it is, the files do not fit. I have standard files, and the bars that they hang on are simply too high and it prevents the lid from closing, even without the labels. I left a heavy book on top of the box for about 5 weeks to see if it would shape the box and make the lid stay shut, but the moment I opened it again, it wouldn't stay shut anymore. The lid stays open a good inch. In addition, the bottom of the frame has some really rough edges, and scratches the furniture when you pull it in and out of a shelf. What left an especially bad taste in my mouth was the company's unwillingness to process the refund for me. I purchased in December, and with the holidays/travel didn't actually put it up until early January. I then left a heavy book on it for a while to see if it would fix the box, and it didn't work, unfortunately. I'm now 20 days past their holiday return policy, and because of that, they are refusing a refund. If this was an Amazon sold item, they wouldn't bat an eye before processing the refund. The item is known to have this issue, as others have stated many times, and clearly does not fit the files as shown with the labels and regular file type (I'm not about to spend another $15 bucks to buy low-hanging files). Admittedly I'm past the return policy as I was trying to see if it would work overtime, but still the company refuses a refund due to a simple "policy" reason. That's a real lack of good faith on a product they know has a defect.

Top does not close
I love the look of these file boxes. They are sturdy. However, the top does not fully close when files are inside...which, in my opinion completely defeats the purpose of a file box.

Tremendous disappointment but ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for customer support
There are so many things wrong with this basket. First, there are no file rods included. Second, the box it came in is ripped and taped together. Third, the rattan/reeds/straw/whatever it is made of is literally unraveling by itself, and the sides bow out a lot - it looks like crap. For this price I’m getting 2-3 of just about any other file box. Zero stars.I am trying to leave positive feedback about customer service several times but this review never gets updated. The product is still terrible so I can’t give it more stars, it doesn’t deserve the one I had to give.

Not worth price
Since most file folders have tabs on them, this box does not fit well. It smashes all the tops of folders. Not worth price. Target has one that encloses with a half inch top for $12 less. I would have returned, however thru box away.

It looks nice, but the lid won't close with tabbed folders
I was excited to get this purchase as I need something decorative to mask the mail/bill pile. I thought the hanging folders would afford some needed organization to the piles. This box arrives flat and you unfold to assemble it, then slide in the two metal rods to hold the hanging folders (so far, so good). It looks nice and is a good quality material. I put my new hanging folders in it and started to add the manilla 3-tab folders to the hanging folders... then I went to close the lid - No good! The lid is exactly even with the tops of the hanging folders and after adding the new tabbed manilla folders the lid wouldn't close all the way!! I would return this product, but I needed something ASAP. The work around is to put the manilla folders between (not in) the hanging folders, but it is far from ideal. And forget putting the plastic tabs on the hanging folders, those won't fit either. Be forewarned.

Good construction and aesthetics.
I replaced an old, ugly file cabinet with two of these. They fold compact, are sturdy and seem to be of good quality. Best of all, and the reason I bought them, they look nice as part of the decor. Although these organizers look nice, I paid the price for style in space. Pay close attention to the dimensions as I would estimate these hold about half of what my old, ugly cabinet would hold. As it turns out, that was fine for me as I am cleaning out anyway but if I was planning on keeping more, these are not the most efficient use of space. My only gripe with the design is the little steel rails that hold the folders slip out of the guides too easily. After I put a few files on the rails and weighed them down, they seem to stay in place more reliably.

It does Exactly what I need, only needed two fixes.
I bought this file box to hold the few files I need to organize my life. Because it's sitting out on my bookshelf it had to be narrow enough, and look good; this fit the bill and it does work for all of that. It holds a full box of files, 20, but to be honest, I have not filled more than 13 of those files yet. I do put the Tabs Up on my files, yes it does hold the lid of the file box Very slightly raised; it's not a problem for me. I tried tabs down so that the lid would lie flush, but it made finding a file a hassle. This looks great on my shelf, holds my files, and I am very happy with it.It did come with an odor. I closed it up in the shipping box with a dozen pieces of charcoal wrapped in paper towels for two days, odor gone. The bottom wire supports were scratching my shelf, so I hot glued some heavy felt, (the kind you buy for furniture), in the bottom four corners.

Perfect for a neighbor association
I bought this file box to keep bookkeeping records for a small neighborhood association. It is attractive enough to leave on display in my cottage-style kitchen along with the laptop computer. It is well-made for a woven item--sturdy wire frame, lid, etc. As other reviewers stated, you cannot use file folders with tabs if you want to close the lid. . . Because I have very few, I used three different colors and simply wrote the contents on the upper edge in calligraphy pen. It works for me. I also store my address labels, postcards, bank bag, and computer cord inside. Keeps everything in one place -- handy and tidy. I love it!
