Elk RidgeER-059 Series Fixed Blade Hunting Knife, Straight Edge Blade, Wood Handle, 7-Inch Length

I have a small, general store in a rural area. This is my most popular seller amongst the knives by far. It IS small....just right for the farmers around here to use to cut twine for the hay bales for their cattle and horses. I've ordered and sold over a dozen in the last couple of years. It is my understanding from them that it takes a little effort to get sharp, but then holds its edge quite well at that point. Small? Yes, but understand what you want from a knife before you order. I have had zero returned for craftsmanship.

Arrived on time. Very unique design. Came pretty sharp. If I had any qualm whatsoever, it would be the handle.. It could use a little contouring ~ which I will do by hand. I am not at all disappointed in this purchase. I'm very pleased with this Elk Ridge knife. This was my first order from them and will be ordering a couple more to give as gifts. The comments about the sheath being overly snug at first are true, but it'll wear in. The negative space logo on the blade is a nice aesthetic touch also.I've gotten lots of compliments and inquiries already.Great addition for the cost. 100% happy!Do yourself a favor, get one.

This is a cool low profile knife. Well made comes sharp. The sheath is leather and held up for a long time. The only thing is I had to keep sharpening the blade after about 10 uses.

Likes: perfect size for trout fishing, cleaning fish and small work. Great for outdoor utility use where a larger Bushcraft” knife might not be appropriately sized. The right handed leather sheath is well made and snap strap fits tight. This is a full broad tang knife with a an eyelet at the heel for attaching a lanyard. Stainless steel construction. First off, bought this knife and holster as a package deal for a reason. I hunt nearly every weekend from September to December and the entire month of April. I was looking for a good knife to clean turkeys and to tag deer, plus occasional general use while in the woods. Wanted the knife to be easily accessible.That being said, the knife appears to hold up to that standard. Sharp knife with a good blade for cleaning and general cuts. The holster however is sub par. The clasp is too short to hold the knife in place. Given that a holster is what makes a fixed blade knife practical to carry, the fact that the knife can't be secured is enough for me to knock off a few stars.To sum it up, great knife if it's just going to sit in a drawer or a table. Not a good set for practical use in the field. Would not order again unless with different holster.

Stunning but practical knife that fits smaller hands.Only concern is the cutout collecting filth, but aside from that incredibly minor concern I'm entirely pleased.Superb knife, fast ship, exactly as described. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

I am a bit of a knife fanatic. This knife is GREAT for a daily carrier. I loved my first (and still current) one so much I bought three others right after. Two as gifts and a backup in case I lose mine. The full tang blade is nice and thick especially along the spine of the blade where it is needed most. The laser cut out of the elk is a nice cosmetic touch even though food and other debris tends to get stuck in it sometimes. REALLY nice balance and for the price is just an incredible blade.

Always wanted a sharp finger so I gave this a try , for the price this thing is great . Has handled all I have thrown at it and has held up. Cannot stand the sheath for everyday carry but it did its job while I made one . Like the knife enough that I bought another .
