These little bottles are awesome. This review written at 2 years.While my use case may be overly simple, these little bottles have saved me time and time again. I take one pill, every morning, at approximately the same time. In today’s hectic world, where I am generally going a lot of directions at once, I do many things automatically. It’s very VERY handy to be able to confirm important automatic actions, like, did I take my pill.To address others complaints,Universal fit. I re-read the listing. Could find nothing that indicates universal fit. Look at your pill bottles, and realize that it would be fantastic, but likely impossible to design one cap that fits them all. Therefore, expect to use the bottles included with the caps. Two bottles, two different colored caps, not too hard to keep things straight.Dead or dying battery. Admittedly a challenge for elderly, poor vision, or those with little mechanical ability. I have a set of precision screwdrivers purchased at harbor freight for $6. I also have a dental pick purchased for $2. Pick out the plastic lining of the cap, remove one very VERY tiny Phillips screw, rotate the battery band, and the battery pops out. Replace with new-same (10 for $8 on amazon) and replace the screw and cap liner. If you can’t, ask for help from someone with a little patience and better vision. It’s simple. I just replaced both my batteries @ 2 years and the text is bright and bold again.Writing comes off on my hand - use a different pen.One came dead - likely sat on a shelf too long, and the battery died. Difficult if not impossible for them to have a battery protector pull strip that only activates upon first use. It sucks that your battery is dead. Return it or fix it.Have realistic expectations for a $7 bottle cap. These things are a great little helper.

These are great if you have a hard time remembering "when was the last time I took my medication?" I've had mine several days now & love it. My mom's a big fan of hers, too. When you have to take a medication several times a day, it can be hard to keep up with whether you've taken a dose or not. This nifty bottle tells you the last time it was opened so you'll KNOW if you've taken a dose yet or not. I've already found myself with a missed dose, delayed doses, and checking the time to take a dose earlier than I was able to take it. I normally wouldn't go out of my way to share this, but it's something I didn't even know about until last week, and it's so useful, I thought it might help others, too!

The timer does not consistently turn on when you screw the lid shut, failing more frequently than it succeeds. You have to fiddle with it constantly to make sure you didn’t screw the lid on too tight or too loose, and the sweet spot is like millimeter precision.The manufacturer knows this, which is why they ship a troubleshooting manual with this trash (which doesn’t really help).Suggestion to the manufacturer: rather than ship a pamphlet explaining that your industrial designer failed out of college and outsource the problem to the customer, maybe go back to the drawing board and design a product that works!

I was apprehensive getting this because I wasn’t sure if they would fit on my bottles. I ideally wanted to replace the caps of the bottles I got from the pharmacy instead of purring them into the bottle it came with. I get a few different bottle types from the pharmacy so decided to give it a shot and hopefully it would fit at least one.To my delight it has fit all but one of the screw bottles I’ve received! It also doesn’t fit the type where you pull the tab down to open but I expected that. I did dump those into the included bottle and reapplied the pharmacy label.Very happy with it. Helps me keep track of my most time dependent medications. Very intuitive and easy to use. I think I may order more for my other bottles or for my parents.Be aware that the screen goes blank after three days of not opening. Doesn’t matter to me or I imagine most people but if you’re planning to use it for a not often used med that might be an issue.
