Blew me away for the price and features!
I was a little skeptical of buying this security key since YubiKeys are so widely recommended above all else but I’m been very impressed. I can confirm it is FIDO2 and can store TOTP’s within their apps. It does everything as advertised and I recommend this key as either your main key, or a fantastic cheap backup. I’ll go more in-depth below!! Hardware wise, it does feel a little cheap but I don’t feel like it would break within a month and for the price, it’s expected. I do like that it has the folding protector that covers the USB C port and makes it more modular. The button is also located on top so it’s very convenient to press and feels very nice. Software-wise, it does exactly what you would expect and works as advertised. It has NFC, FIDO2, WebAuth, and TOTP/HOTP support via their app which is on all PC and mobile platforms. Overall, I’ve been very impressed with this key and if you want the features of the 5 series YubiKeys without the high price (since you need a backup keep so that price adds up) and a built-in protector that makes it more portable, you can’t go wrong with this key and it’s especially recommended if you’re simply looking for a cheaper backup key.

Solid product that is strong alternative to Yubico
Feels solid, and working great. Highly compatible with Samsung phones. I originally chose Yubikey but then had to return it since it wasn't compatible for android devices and the NFC and USB functionality was not working. This key isn't too large, fits nicely on my keychain to carry around with me. I honestly feel more protected now knowing that i have a easy to use this physical security key that safeguards the sources of digital vulnerability that I have taken for granted for way too long.

Tricky to set up, but works wonderfully
Device works as intended, but setting up is a little bit tricky. Software can be a little rough around the edges, and it takes a couple of extra clicks to choose a physical authenticator security key instead of a digital one, but it works perfectly once set up. It is small, easy to use, easy to carry around, and feels built well. This product is very solid, and works with windows devices well (I have not tested with other operating systems).

Broke with light usage
At first the product felt solid and strong but after hardly using it the usb-c tip broke off. There is a 1year warranty but it's a joke Cost more to send it back then it was bought for. Quote from website: "The owner of the product will be responsible for all the shipping costs for sending back the product. Any customs fees, including, but not limited to, taxes, duties, and any other courier-related fees, are the responsibility of the owner. We advise using a trackable shipping method to ensure safe delivery to us. Thetis is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments for returning packages. If you are within 14 days of the purchase, you may be eligible for pre-paid return shipping postage to return the faulty product." I liked to key but android had some issues with it not working correctly or recognizing it. It's nice to have the totp option and nfc. The price is pretty good a yubikey with the same options and protocols is $50 vs the thetis key for $15-$20 If you want to use this, I recommend the usb-a instead and use an adapter if you need usv-c Update: No email back from their site. No contact at all or anything. Not sure if they can be trusted with my security if they don't even stand behind their product. I did buy a yubikey that was on sell it is sturdier (went with usb-a because of this issue though)

Easy to use, great value. Don't think about buying one, just do it. It'll save you in the long run
I think this key is the best bang for your buck compared to other brands especially because it's Fido2 with NFC. I skipped out on the more well known/popular brand because these are half the price and I wanted to buy 2. $50 for a main key and a back up is great considering this lil key could potentially save your bank accounts from being drained one day or scammers getting onto accounts with your card info. I also chose this key because I like the design and how it can be folded to cover the USB-C so you don't accidently bend it or something while carrying it around. You also don't have to worry about it falling out of the holder like the super tiny keys. So this one is great to have on your keychain. I use one of the more expensive keys for work and compared to this brand I would say set up and use if pretty much the same and it's very simple to use. For me, the only con to this key is that using NFC is kinda finicky. It's not that it doesn't work BUT with this one you have to have it held up to your phone precisely or it will not read. So that's kinda eh to me but I still love it. And for those of you who are new to using these, it's fairly simple to use even if you're not tech savvy. Scan the QR code on the device or got to their website and download their program so you can set your pin and then you're good to go. - Sign into the accounts you want to use this device with (not all websites support this feature yet btw) - open your security settings - set it up would just set it up as you would 2 set authentication. You should have the option to choose "physical key". Plug it in, type in your pin, press the lil button on your key and you're golden. You'll use that same method when you login.

works with linux mint(read full review please before buying security keys for linux distros)
the security key is reliable, and is actually compatible with linux mint xia(still untestested with the other linux distributions out there,so do your research before purchasing a security key for linux, because it is hit or miss depending on distribution support(linux distros can even include ChromeOS(which is the OS chromebooks run),Chrome OS Flex(a legacy/UEFI adapted version of ChromeOS for older PCs and MacBooks, does not support play store, google assistant and some biometric security hardware, some components like a CD-ROM will have partial functionality, some parts may not work at all),and Android(a very popular smartphone OS for alot of companies),those 3 despite being made by google, there is alot of linux distributions, those previously listed 3 are just a few examples,i personally reccomend linux mint) *i know this might start debate for some linux users,or start a ragebait(annoying someone by a subject while socalizing),so please do not get annoyed at me for saying a reccomended linux distro there is alot of linux distributions,so hit or miss depending on linux distribution, saying "linux" compatability is talking about the platform(which there is a few main ones, those are debian, arch, and ubuntu as the common platforms a distribution is based on,noticed linux mint is kind of a hybrid of debian, arch, and ubuntu except for a special debian based variant, and ubuntu also has 6 variants alongside the main version),anyways keep in mind when "linux" is stated, that is talking about the type of OS there is many distributions of linux, each one built different than the other,so support is not the same for each linux distribution also untested with USB-C to USB-A adapters,so keep that in mind also, highly reccomend when connecting this to a USB-A or any kind of other port to use an adapter(untested) or USB-C PCI card for custom build/full-size desktops(i know this will work for full size desktops, does not work well if ports are tight together or you have a really wide subdevice/accessory to the computer port neighboring it without a extention(untested) does not work on a device with someone else's account as main account(standard for security keys) also don't know offhand if this works with microusb or lightning port devices also haven't tested NFC yet this security key can work by just registering it to a account via account settings also, the OEM application is not nessisary

Exceptional Security Key – Reliable and Easy to Use
The Thetis Pro-C FIDO2 Security Key is hands down the best security solution I’ve used for protecting my online accounts. Its build quality is top-notch, with a sleek metal design that feels durable yet lightweight. Setting it up was surprisingly easy—it works seamlessly with major platforms like Google, Microsoft, and even password managers like 1Password. The USB-C connection is fast and reliable, and the key has NFC functionality, which is perfect for securing accounts on my phone. I also love that it’s FIDO2 certified, ensuring the highest standard of security without relying on SMS codes or other outdated methods. What truly stands out is its consistency—it’s incredibly responsive and hasn’t let me down once. For anyone serious about safeguarding their digital life, this is a must-have. Highly recommend!

A brilliant FIDO2 key
I am not affiliated with the company and my review is based on my own experience: The Thetis Pro-C FIDO2 security key has impressed me. The construction feels solid and well-built; actually more sturdy than my YubiKey 5C. Setup was straightforward, and it works flawlessly with my Linux system. I use it not just for login, but also to input my sudo password in the terminal, and even as a trigger to lock the computer when removed, which works perfectly. It’s also a great tool for encrypting and decrypting a LUKS-encrypted Linux hard drive, making the system both safe and easy to use without compromising security. Just make sure you keep a backup security key, in case something goes wrong. On Linux, the key can be used for several additional security tasks. It works well with SSH for passwordless login using hardware-backed authentication, can integrate with PAM modules for system-wide authentication, and can be used with GPG for signing and encrypting emails or files. It also supports browser-based FIDO2/WebAuthn logins, making it useful for securing accounts like Google, Amazon, and others. I haven’t been able to test Windows Hello login as I don’t use it, but it works perfectly on macOS too. It also performs reliably on my phone, which adds to its flexibility. The specifications are strong and everything functions as expected. The only thing I’d like to see in the future is firmware update support, but honestly, as it is now, it’s already a brilliant and dependable tool.

Solid Value and Reliable Performance
I've been using the Thetis Pro-C FIDO2 key for a while now, primarily for basic two-factor authentication, and I'm quite satisfied with its performance. While I haven't explored all of its advanced features like TOTP/HOTP, everything I need it for works flawlessly. I use the Thetis Pro-C alongside a Yubico key, and I honestly can't tell the difference in speed or basic functionality. Both keys perform equally well in securing my accounts. This makes the Thetis Pro-C an excellent value proposition, offering comparable performance to more expensive brands at a more affordable price point. Pros: - Reliable FIDO2 performance - Comparable speed and functionality to Yubico keys - Excellent value for money Cons: - None at the moment * I haven't tested all advanced features! Overall: If you're looking for a reliable and affordable FIDO2 security key for basic two-factor authentication, the Thetis Pro-C is a great option. It offers solid performance and is a great alternative to more expensive brands. *** Top tip for those who say NFC doesn't work: *** The protective bracket that the key rotates in is made of metal (aluminum), which blocks the NFC chip. You must therefore unfold the key before you can scan it. This is a bit annoying at times, but on the other hand, it offers an extra layer of security.

Peace of mind for my online security – simple, fast, reliable
I’ve been using the Thetis Pro Key for about a month, and I genuinely feel more secure online. Setup was straightforward—it worked flawlessly with both my Google and Microsoft accounts. It’s compatible with Windows, macOS, and even Linux, which is perfect since I work across different platforms. The build quality is excellent—it’s aluminium, not cheap plastic, and feels sturdy enough to survive daily use. The USB-C and USB-A connectors are a nice touch, especially since I use multiple devices. Its obviously FIDO2 certified, meaning it uses strong, phishing-resistant security. No more worrying about SMS codes or authenticator apps being hacked. I even tested it by trying to log in from an unknown device without the key and it blocked me, just like it should. Tip: Make sure you register it on multiple accounts and keep a backup key stored safely in case you lose it. Overall, this is one of the best purchases I’ve made for digital safety. If you care about online security (especially if you're in business, IT, or finance), this is a must-have.
