Uh, I think your cube is missing a piece mate
After learning to solve a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube you may ask yourself, "What now?". Well you have two options, either perfect the cube and advanced methods of solving and become super fast (way out of my league) or you can experiment with new cubes. The Rubik's void is the perfect cube to fulfill that second answer. The cube turns very nicely for a void and for an off the shelf Rubik's cube, which generally aren't known for their great turning quality. I find this puzzle offers a good amount of challenge for a person who is new to the world of Rubik's cubes, just make sure you can solve a typical Rubik's cube every single time without becoming lost. This puzzle is harder because you do not have the center pieces to indicate color, so instead you have to look at the corner pieces and determine which edge pieces go between them, sometimes you get lucky and get them in the right place first time, most of the time you will be left with edges and corners that are inverted, making you have to start the upper layer/cross all over. The upper layer is arguably the hardest because of this, after that it solves like a typical cube. When you get to the last cross and are solving for the corners you may run into a problem where the last two corners have swapped positions from each other and no matter how many times you try they will not correctly orientate themselves. This is called a Paradox and to solve it you need to hold the problematic side as the UP layer and then do this Algorithm "M' U M' U' M U' M U2 M' this will revert you back to solving the second layer, but once completed will allow all the corners to be placed correctly, solving the Paradox and the cube. This puzzle again is very fun, of very good quality and a must have for cubing fans, would recommend this even compared to the LanLan void, because of this cubes different shape.

Just as I was expecting!
I have played with three Void Cubes in my life now. One was a friend's that she let me borrow for a while, and the two that I just bought and received. So I think I have a pretty good idea on what a Void Cube is supposed to feel like. Brand new: a little stiff. Used: moves easier but can still get 'caught'.Stiff to move at first, so you have to be careful with it, but with movement it tends to loosen up and becomes easier to move. You have to take care with it, don't force it. I want to address another review that I saw on here where they said it was hard to move and ended up breaking. I am pretty certain it broke because they were trying to force it. It is exactly as I had thought when I read this review. It probably was stiff at first and instead of just carefully rotating the sides around to loosen it up, they probably forced it. Yes, I repeated myself here.I want all those that are preparing to purchase this know what they are getting and why it is the way it is. Not all Rubik's cubes move smoothly either, so yes, there may be a defective one. If it doesn't loosen up, contact the company and see about getting a replacement for it. DON'T FORCE IT! I am very happy with my buy and yes, I recommend this product!Pros: It is challenging, it loosens up for the most part, it is well made.Cons: It can be frustrating, it can get stuck, have to take care in how you rotate the sides.I would add the stickers as a con, but the Void Cube I played with a couple of years ago had stickers on it too. I am sure with wear and tear the stickers will probably start to raise up and come off. If you have a child that likes to pick at such things, don't let them play with it.Hey, if you think this is frustrating, you should try the Impossible Cube! "Rubik's Impossible"Happy puzzle solving and if you like solving the original Rubik's Cube, you will enjoy solving this puzzle. Can't solve the end no matter what you do? There is a trick to this. ;) I can't say as then that will be a spoiler. "Spoilers." -River Song

Slides so smooth!
Very happy with this cube!I would probably describe myself as a Rubik's hobbyist (I have the 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4, 5x5, pyramid, icosahedron, Square-One, etc...) When I saw this in the toy store catalog, I thought "Oh, gotta have one of these!" The price was right on Amazon and, Bam! It's mine! Some reviewers have mentioned that theirs broke apart: but I've had mine for 3 months now and it holds strong. (For those with cube solving experience, you kinda get used to when the turn feels "stuck" and stop, align, then try again: I've broken many other cubes in my career and would say that this mechanism is not as fragile as others: probably 4 out of 5 on the robustness scale). And the cube glides so smoothly. It is very fascinating to turn it: the rings around the "void" are very well built and it just looks like the core of the cube is invisible! Also, it is noticeably lighter than the original cube (well, duh, there is a huge void in the middle!). But I'm talking about seeming half or more of the weight is missing! Apart from that, it is just like solving a original cube, only simpler because there are a few steps you can omit because of the missing centers. (For example, if you have side edges all off-by-one, you don't need to move the individual edges down and then place them back in their right position, you can simply rotate the middle ring one turn!)

interesting idea
It doesn't turn very smoothly but it does have a unique design.

Great puzzle, disappointed in quality
I have had this puzzle for less then 2 weeks and i love it. It is a very fun puzzle to solve. One thing that I am really disappointed in is it already broke! The internal mechanism broke while I was spinning it and now the corners fall off. I am really disappointed with its durability.
