My 9-year-old son is currently in a full-blown axolotl phase, so when I saw this glittery squishy toy, I figured it would be a hit. And it absolutely was... at least at first. He played with it nonstop right out of the package. It has a soft, squishy feel that’s super satisfying, and the glittery design makes it stand out from his other toys.The appeal is definitely there. It is adorable, and the texture makes it fun to hold and squeeze. He was thrilled with it and showed it off to just about everyone.That said, after only a short time, I started to notice some wear. The outer layer is slightly sticky, which makes it a magnet for fuzz, dust, and anything else it touches. The material also feels thinner than other squishies we’ve owned, which makes me wonder how long it will last with continued use. He’s not overly rough with his toys, but even light play has caused the printed face to fade a bit. It’s still recognizable, just not as sharp as it was on day one.This feels like the kind of toy that works best as a fun novelty or a cute little gift for a child who’s careful with their things. It brings immediate joy and is a fun sensory toy, but based on our experience, it may not hold up to heavy daily play over time.If your child is a big axolotl fan or just enjoys fidget-style toys, it has its charm. Just keep in mind that while the design is fun, the durability may be more suited to light or occasional use rather than everyday squishing and stretching.

Cute and stretchy, but very dense, face comes off after a bit.The squishy's texture is slightly sticky, like touching a large glue section of a Post-it note, so if you have sensory issues and don't like sticky items, then this may not be for you.The slime is thick and retains its shape no matter how hard you stretch, which means the cute axolotyl shape stays.The outside layer is pretty thick, which makes me doubt it would leak (The slime inside is very thick so leaking in general I would be reluctant to believe). Overall, the shape and shelling on the main body is pretty durable to stretch, though I would be less harsh on the pink detailing. (Obviously, don't use sharp objects on it)The main problem is that after a bit of play the face does rub off, leaving black crumby particles and missing eye/cheek prints.The squishy is also very, very dense; you can stretch it, but it leaves a solid "thud" when you drop it. If you have a child that throws or hits with items, you would not want to get hit with it.It is cute, but I would be cautious on who you give it to.

We gave this to our 8 yr old for a gift and in less than a day, it’s torn open and the face details were worn off. She wasn’t being rough with it either, more treating it like a pet with an occasional squeeze. I can’t imagine using this as an actual stress relief tool - it would have exploded so much faster! Also the outside is super sticky and picks up fuzz and debris easily. Very disappointed in the lack of safety and quality of this product. It’s cute, but unfortunately unsafe junk.

Cute toy my 7 year old loves it

My kiddo loves fidget toys, the color pink, and axolotls, so this was a win, win, win for me! Its soft, squeezable design makes it a suitable fidget option for relieving mild stress or anxiety. It's absolutely adorable and fun to play with. While it is lightweight and portable, it doesn't seem very durable. I don't think the material or the face is going to hold up to prolonged use. However, it brought her a ton of joy so it's well worth the price to me.
