3MAuto Exterior Attachment Tape, 1/4 in x 5 ft, Heavy Duty Double-Sided Automotive Tape for Car Trim, Moldings, Emblems, and Badges (38582)

This tape holds my window vents secure on the exterior of the car... I was a little skeptical at first how well it would hold but I let it sit 24 hours before I drove to let it set for the recommended time limit... I even had a little issue initially sticking it to the car and had to reposition but it held even after i had to remove the vent and restick it... it is sticky enough as long as you let it set for the recommended time so it holds perfect when following the instructions...It is a good size for the window vent but it could be thicker if needed but you just have to get the 1/2" one if you prefer but this did the job and stuck just right... the thickness is what it states on the package and doesnt bulge out ... it looks nice and sleek ...I didn't have to remove anything so I can't speak for the ease of removal... the tape is quality and it arrived well before the time it said it would take which I was surprised since anything shipped from Michigan seems to take a week longer than anywhere else in the USA...

I used this for my vehicle emblem that fell off in the auto wash and worked awesome. Great product!!!

Double sided adhesive that I purchased to hold the rubber trim around my vehicle's tires on. The rubber edging was coming off, and this was said to be the solution. This is double sided. Simply cleaned where I wanted it to go on the vehicle and stuck this on. Peeled the top and stuck the rubber trim on. Very simple. Trim seems to be holding tight so far. I've not had this on very long, so I don't know how it will last for the long term, but so far, so good.My one complaint would be that the 'tape' is pretty thick. It would be nice if it were half as thick. Even so, nobody will notice if used for trim in the manner I did because that's not something people stare at close enough to see.

So my wife had all 4 side trim pieces on her 2017 wagon starting to come off at the fronts but not all the way. This seemed like a logic fix. This adhesive is great if you intend on removing the entire piece and reinstalling it. I’m lazy. That wasn’t going to happen. So I pulled back the first piece of trim, took off s as much of the old factory adhesive as possible, cleaned the car, cut strips off this to fit, and adhered them leaving the red backing on before sticking it to the car per the directions.. terrible idea. If you do not intend on removing the entire piece.. do yourself a favor and remove the red backing first and try with all your might not to touch it. The backing is hard to get off in general let alone working in a 2-3” gap.Other then that.. works great. Would recommend regardless.

It worked well... so will that I suggest you mark your spacing before applying the adhesive. Because once it's in place, it's staying!

This tape is awesome! It has a strong hold, and is very easy to use. Peel and stick! It does require pre- prep for application but it's minimal. However, once it's on.....it's on. No take offs!

This was a fail for attaching a license plate holder to a vinyl bumper. all surfaces were carefully washed and cleaned including rubbing alcohol. Lasted about a week including highway driving until the vehicle was parked with front facing the sun on a 90° day and it got hot and fell off. YMMV. luckily the car wasn't in motion.update- i am adding a star back as I switched to VHB tape which worked great and i think this was just the wrong application for this product but the product itself may be fine for other uses.
