First of all, this is a VERY NICE, inexpensive gift for any man who enjoys whiskey or bourbon. It is by far the best choice of a whiskey smoker kit offered on Amazon, simply because of the beautiful display box!! There were issues with the Butane lighter at first but the seller immediately reached out to me and offered to resolve the issues! This seller is extremely friendly and very helpful! They are quick to resolve any issues with their products!! This beautiful smoker kit will look great on any man's bar! I highly recommend anyone looking for a gift for a man, to buy this!! Not a bad set. Mine came with a ding in the barrel (see pic). Bigger than I thought it be, definitely not cabinet cozy it needs a nice countertop to rest on. Lighter is amazing and good quality. DONT FORGET TO BUY BUTANE FOR IT! You get 6 starter flavors with a decent amount inside them. Simple to use, grab a pinch, set it on fire briefly and cover for a couple minutes. I made an old fashioned with pear chips and I smelled the smoke more than I tasted the infusion of it. Smoke disappears fairly quick and had to torch the chips twice just to be sure something happened. Cute novelty when ppl come over. I havent experimented too much just yet.

Now there’s nothing like a homemade old-fashioned! This is definitely an investment that you must have and it’s beautiful to add to your wet bar. It’s a great compliment to having company over and making your own old-fashioned for them. They will love you for it. This is a Great kit. I use it all the time and it’s very impressive.

This is an attractive and well-designed whisky smoking set. For starters the box it comes in is quite plain but finished in a way that looks good, rather than plain cardboard. The kit is contained within an attractive wooden barrel that is held closed with a metal latch, and splits open to reveal its contents. There's an easily assembled, matching stand included so it can be displayed- and it's worth displaying. The interior is lined with black fabric, with recesses for the various items- the torch, smoker and six tins of wood chips in assorted flavours- hickory, pear, peach, cherry, American oak and apple. Overall it's quite an eye-catching piece. I also like that all the pieces are contained within the barrel; that's very neat. The actual smoker works well too. It's big enough to cover just about any (whisky) glass, and has metal surrounding the compartment where the wood chips go- which provides good protection against accidentally setting it on fire. There are instructions included, but the process is rather intuitive; the chips go into the depression in the wire mesh in the centre of the smoker, it gets set on top of a glass of whisky, the blowtorch is used to light the chips, the lid is placed on the smoker and it's then left to generate smoke and add flavour to the whisky. The mesh is easy to remove and tap the ashes out for cleaning. The torch is a solid, little item that's powerful enough for the job without being excessive. There's no butane included, but it's not difficult to find canisters for sale. I don't know if the different flavours of smoke are distinct enough to easily discern one from the other through the flavour of whisky, but it's good to have the option- plus it means there's a decent quantity of wood chips included. Personally I don't drink much whisky, and I wouldn't smoke a fine malt; but there's no denying it's an impressive little display if you're making drinks for guests- or even if you like the taste of smoked whisky. You could, of course, smoke other spirits or cocktails if you so wished, not only whisky; I can imagine this working well with brandy or even dark rum. I would think that the spirit should be smoked before adding any mixer- smoke the rum with ice before adding ginger beer (and citrus syrup) for a Dark 'n' smoky. I'd strongly recommend this if you're looking for a gift for a whisky lover, or simply wanting to indulge yourself. It's a well-designed, eye-catching, self-contained kit; and using it is always going to provide a topic of conversation if you have guests round for drinks. It's the sort of thing you're likely to keep for years, and maybe get a lot of use out of.

Bought as a gift for my husband’s birthday, it was great. He loved it, our son did too. Very well made and a lovely accent to any bar. Gave our drinks a wonderful smokiness. Highly recommend. 10/10

Refilling butane is straightforward, and the adjustable knob lets me control how strong I want the burn. Cleanup is quick, and the smaller scale makes it less intimidating to use regularly compared to my big smoker. My only note is that butane isn’t included, so make sure you pick some up ahead of time or you’ll be stuck staring at it until you do. The product is very, very beautiful and looks amazing. The smoker kit is awesome, and it changes any drink to something beyond tasty. There are 6 different flavours, and I only have tested 4, which were perfect. Torch is good (not the best, but good). Overall, very very nice. The barrel itself, alone, is worth the full price and maybe more (at least, in my opinion)
