GREAT TABLET, GREAT PERFORMANCE!!
I received my new Astro Tab A10 Android Tablet earlier than the anticipated delivery date. In the box was the Astro Tab A10 tablet, the charger and a USB adapter. The tablet was received just as described. Immediately upon turning on the tablet, the screen, with a resolution of 1200 x 800 IPS, jumps to impressive display. The color is represented very well and the angle of view if excellent. The Tab10 additional features, likewise are very impressive with 1G Ram, a mini HDMI, full size USB port, headphone jack, microSD slot, dual cameras (front and back). I find that the camera takes really great high quality photos and videos. The audio does not break the sound barrier, but it is loud and comfortable enough for my intended uses. I used the tablet to the point of having to recharge the battery and found that it does take a little while to recharge to its full capabilities, which was expected, but overall I think the recharging process was above average. There are a number of great apps already on the A10, but it leaves plenty of room to download more apps. Overall, for the price that I paid, I am overly satisfied with the look, feel and performance of the Astro Tab A10. I would definitely recommend purchasing this tablet . My opinion is based on what I have personally experienced using the A10 tablet. Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with nor do I know of any person working for Astro Tab A10 distributors.

Great Value
I bought this tablet after my Nexus broke. I certainly was surprised at just how great this tablet performs. I use it for work so I needed something that would be realiable. I did my research on this tablet because of price. I just couldn't believe that a tablet could be that reliable costing less than $100. I read both good and bad reviews and it appeared to be an almost perfect split decision. 50% good and 50% bad. But I figured I will give it a try at the very worst I will send it back. So here is my assessment. For the price you won't find a better tablet. Battery life is outstanding. I average 30 hours before needing a recharge. The display is outstanding as well. Clear bright and easy to view at almost any angle. Storage is as good as my Nexus was. 16 gig on board 32 gig expandable which is all I need since I keep most everything on my Google cloud. My biggest concern was performance. With a 1.5 GHz quad core I knew that with my work load on a tablet this could be a risky proposition. This is where I was totally blown away. This tablet has handled the work load flawlessly. I am not saying this is the fastest tablet you can buy but it sure walks through a heavy day of work without a single glitch. No freezing, no choppy video, and it handles high volumes of information transfers without interruption. There is only one thing about this tablet that I think could have been designed better and that is the position of the camera lens. It is positioned in the upper left corner of the tablet. So centering takes a little getting used to. Also I cannot find a cover that accommodates the lens position. So I had to find a cover to fit and then cut a spot for the lens position. Not a big deal but still there is no question it would have been better to have positioned the lens in the center since almost all covers are made with that design in mind. The rear facing camera is 5 megapixels and the forward is 2 megapixels. More than adequate for my needs. Sounds quality is much better than I expected. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Wifi connects and stays connected even in the 1 to 2 bar range. The last concern I had was whether this tablet was GPS capable and it is. Works perfectly whether I am connected to Wifi or not. I use the Google Maps GPS app which doesn't need Wifi for directions or position as long as the tablet has GPS capability. I very rarely will write a review of a product but I was so pleased with this purchase I had to give a shout out. I should add the purchasing experience was outstanding as well. Package arrived quickly was packed very securely. Completely satisfied with vendor! Would have given a 10 star rating if I could have.

and I loved it. Sadly I dropped it and the screen ...
My first 10" tablet was an Astro Tab, and I loved it. Sadly I dropped it and the screen broke, so I ordered a new one. It worked great for about a month and then just died, so I sent it back and ordered another one, this time the less expense version. I still have it, and I still use it, but it is slow and I can't watch video's because the picture quality is so bad it's not worth it. I also can't have more than a few games downloaded onto it at a time or it gets to slow to play anything. So if you are looking for something very basic and don't plan to use it for lots of games, etc. it's not a bad tablet, but if you are a gamer and like to watch video's this is not the one to get.

Not terrible for the price point
My first 10" tablet (which is still use) is an Asus Zenpad 300Z. I paid $150 for it. It's been great, and I have zero complaints about it. My wife needed a tablet for school, so I looked around for a good budget tablet that she can load some digital textbooks on - the requirements for this sort of use are less than I needed for my tablet, so i stepped the budget down. On paper, this tablet seems great - IPS display, quad core, even runs android 7.0 - on a budget. If you've never had a tablet before maybe it'll work for you, however, i found the device to be underwhelming. I ended up returning it for a Dragon Touch X10 (10.1), another tablet which I will also be returning.I'll start with the pros:1. Setup was super easy and fast for my non-techie spouse.2. Battery seemed to run fine.3. Solidly built.4. IPS Screen looked very niceThere are only two cons, and it's such a darn shame, too, because otherwise this could have been THE tablet. One is the deal breaker for me, the second is a minor quibble.1. Touch delay. Likely an issue from having only 1GB RAM. trying to open an app? wait for 5-10 seconds for it to open, then another few seonds for it to actually be usable. this also applies to keyboard use. press a text field? wait for 5 seconds for the keyboard to open, and wait for 1 second between each keystroke because you're nto sure if the keyboard is reading each press. It was tolerable (barely) if only one app was open at a time, but only immediately after opening, forget it if the app's been open for a few minutes.2. Screen is plastic, and seems easily scratchable. Also doesn't have a good tactile feel when swiping.
