I am writing as a Montessori-trained, retired educator of 25 years and grandmother of eleven children. I have several families in my life who have purchased the Hidden Helper. I have been slow to do this because I live in an apartment with little storage space. However, I have just made my own purchase and am excited to share my experience.First, this certainly fits well into a Montessori home and lifestyle given its use of natural bamboo and its facilitation of exploration and independence. I have witnessed the joy and independence of my grandchildren using this stool at their homes and I decided to make the investment because I want my small home to be a place where they feel “at home”, empowered, independent and invested in.I was somewhat hesitant to make my purchase, because I didn’t feel confident about installation and giving up “precious” storage space. I can assure anyone feeling similar hesitance, I have re-prioritized what is under my sink to make the space available to accommodate and I’m so glad I did…the kids are too. The assembly instructions and video QR code included in the packaging were easy for me to understand. Although I didn’t need the company’s help, I sent an email just to see their response, which was almost immediate. They were willing to take care of any concern I had (even helping to address the installation fears of a 70-year-old grandmother!)I recommend the Hidden Helper as one of the wisest purchases I have made as a grandmother. "A Well-Designed, High-Quality Product That Performs as Intended"This step stool has been an absolute game-changer for our family! It’s incredibly sturdy, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for fostering independence in little ones. Safety is a priority, and when following the simple instructions for installation it is incredibly stable. My child loves being able to access the sink and countertop on their own, and putting the stool away is easy, even fun! For anyone concerned about the installation the self-anchoring makes it so easy and reliable—its anchoring method ensures it won’t tip over or slide like freestanding stools. Refer to the images of the posting and measure your cabinet space beforehand, to make certain it fits perfectly. This will not work if the base of your cabinets or vanity are higher from the floor than normal. Most cabinets are 5.5”-6.5” from the floor. If that’s what you have, you won’t be disappointed. The quality of the bamboo is excellent, and I appreciate its durability and aesthetic appeal—it blends seamlessly with our decor. I also appreciate how the pivot mechanism saves space when not in use. To those who may be concerned about losing cabinet storage: this stool transforms your cabinet into something functional for your kids—it’s not just another bulky item lying around. This hideaway stool has been great at reducing the clutter in our small bathroom. I like that it's tall enough for my 3-year-old to use the sink all by himself without constantly being in the way for my wife and me. The instructions were easy to follow and took less than 15 minutes.As others have mentioned, the edges of the wood are a little sharp and should have been sanded down by the manufacturer. It's quick to fix and wouldn't cause serious injury, but still something that should be standard for a kids product.The feet on this product are made out of the same bamboo wood, and my toddler was able to shatter one of them after just a couple of uses. I'm grateful it was the wood that broke and not my tile floors! These should really be made out of rubber to minimize slippage, damage and noise. I'm going to try to replace them with rubber myself.Overall it's a good product in theory and we'll keep it since we haven't found anything better, but it would be a GREAT product if they fixed some of these simple issues.Update: I reached out to the manufacturer and the owner, Mark, responded right away and offered a partial credit to replace the broken footings with rubber ones from my local hardware store. Great customer service.

This product has changed our lives! Easy to put together and install. Our kids being able to wash their hands and brush their teeth with independence is liberating. No stools to trip on in my bathroom is fabulous. Four kids in... where has this been all my life!?!

This step stool is genius!! It took minutes to install, the instructions were printed right on the box and easy to follow, and it’s very sturdy! I love that it folds up and out of sight when not in use, especially since my bathroom is quite small. Best of all, it gives my little guy the ability to wash his hands all by himself!
