Works great if you have an 802.11AX router/node
At 1,201mbps speed as indicated by Windows (see attachment) on my old (1st gen I7), this is higher theoretical speed on USB3 than the theoretical 1gbps ethernet plug of that era. My data connection is only 500mbps, which this device easily supports (actually, not theoretically) per Speedtest app, so the thing is not a bottleneck for my daily use and I seldom do machine to machine transfers so I don't care about maximums beyond what I can easily measure now. I'm sure it can easily produce higher transfer speeds in a different environment but this has been a speed and stability improvement for me. I have an 802.11AX wireless router connection. Easily worth the money for an external adapter. Great base and cord included.

Unstable and slow
Do not buy. Not only does this not achieve the 2.4gbps speeds it promises (the fastest it got was 100mbps), it will frequently drop to as low as .7mbps. Super inconsistent even when it isn't touched. In comparison, my phone which is right next to the device gets 220mbps easily. Don't waste your money, this doesn't get you any higher speed or stability than a cheaper option. Which I could return it but the packaging makes that impossible.

Excellent adaptateur WiFi
Acheté pour le PC de ma femme. Très simple à installer : branchement et reconnaissance automatique. Pour des performances optimales, il suffit de télécharger le dernier pilote sur le site TP-Link. Connexion stable, aucun problème lors de ses réunions Teams, et bon signal. Très satisfait !
