Philips - Headgroom Do-It-Yourself Clipper QC5580/32 Silver

I have had this for a few months now and use it when i cant be bothered to wet shave - so most of the week. The charge time is really good and it produces a close shave that is satisfactory if not as close as a wet shave. I find it actually takes longer than wet but i can do this in front of the computer with the zoom off, of course. This replaced a very expensive skull candy which fell apart when I tried to clean it. This one is very easy to clean and has even survived me dropping it a few times.

This is a really good shaver for a shaving a bald head. I have used it daily for a week now and it is very quick and gives a very close shave. With regard to the other attachments I can't comment on how they work as I've not needed to use them. There seems no other shaver like it on the market. You will need an EU adapter (around £1) as it's not sold by any UK supplier and therefore comes with an EU plug, but this isn't any problem.

i have been using this product for some months now and i can say without a shadow of a doubt its the best trimmer/shaver i have ever owned the lengths available are perfect for shaving your head bald with the attachments that come included or using the guide with the shortest lengths 1mm perfect for trimming hair extremely short cut lots of lengths available and looks really smart can also be used on beards down to stubble a great all rounder really good and powerful with very low vibration charges very quickly 10 out of 10 excellent product would highly recommend

I have short hair and I only recently started cutting my own hair, I had a cheaper hair clipper but with it I could not guarantee an even cut. I spent the extra money to buy the Philips 5580 and I have it set at 2mm and it dose a perfect job. I have used it 3 times now and I am finding it very easy to use.

Clippers are very good, they're fast and efficient to use. The razor is rubbish though, it takes forever and no good on a few days growth.

Love these! if you are able to cut your own hair i.e. just want a skinhead all the time. Go for it! I have saved a fortune at the barbers, can't rate them highly enough.I thought the twisty head bit would be a bit pointless USP but it actually works really well.I am sold on Philips grooming products all the way now.

2nd pair & both times they stopped working just out of warranty!
