Five stars for ergonomics, 4 stars for general handling

From an ergonomic perspective, this mouse is better in overall feel than others I've had, such as the Anker Vertical Ergonomic Mouse. The hand fits naturally, with about the same angle of the wrist as you would use when shaking hands. I noticed some lessening of shoulder tightness over my usual gaming mouse after using this one for a few hours.Tracking and adjustable DPI are more than acceptable. It does take some getting used to the feel of the tracking, which is not surprising with the hand, wrist, and arm in a different position from a typical mouse. I tended to move it too much at first, overshooting my target. After a couple of hours using it, it felt smoother. Still not as precise and smooth as my gaming mouse, but acceptable for general mouse/keyboard work.It has a snap on wrist rest, and while I felt it improved the ergonomic feel and stayed on securely, it degraded the tracking somewhat, so I ended up taking it off. If you decide to use it, you're going to need a large mouse pad. The wrist rest is about 5 1/2 inches from front to back. I've included a photo of the wrist rest detached from the mouse, with a ruler for scale. The biggest annoyance is that I am frequently hitting the lower mouse button on the side (the one normally used for the "Back" function in a browser) accidentally. My thumb seems to slip down upon it easily as I'm moving the mouse around. This might be because of the way I personally hold a mouse, so you might not have this issue.Bluetooth worked flawlessly. Plug and go.Since the mouse is rechargeable, it goes into standby mode after a period of idleness. It does *not* come out of standby from moving it. You have to press one of the buttons to do that. But it responds quickly when you do that. This is a case where I wish we had the ability to assign half stars, because I would give this mouse four and a half. I really do like the ergonomic feel, but I think a few of the operational details could have been slightly better. But it's good enough that if you are trying to alleviate wrist soreness or general tension in your arm from too much mouse use, this could very well work for you.

Drains power quickly

I liked the vertical mouse but the power drains rapidly. It does not run on AA battery like the Logitech trackballs I have --you recharge it with a USB cord. If you leave the switch to "on" when not using it, it will drain battery quickly. I used it on Thursday and Friday during the day, left it in the "on" position overnight and for most of today, and now it needs to be recharged again. Will be getting a different mouse.

Needs Getting Used to

I'm on my computer most of the day and I've had some bouts with carpel tunnel syndrome in the past so I am sensitive to movements and positions which do and don't aggravate the condition. With that in mind, I've been interested in vertical mice, saw this and ordered it.I got the mouse in and immediately charged it. As with most peripherals, I prefer to connect using Bluetooth over 2.4GHz dongles or USB connections. I fired up the mouse and tried to connect through BT. My computer failed to recognize it. Since the instruction manual that comes with the mouse doesn't mention the Bluetooth connection, I was on my own. I discovered a button on the bottom of the mouse which is not mentioned in the instruction manual (but is in one of the pictures on the product page), I tried to use that to switch to Bluetooth mode but to no avail. Finally I gave up on Bluetooth, inserted the 2.4GHz dongle and proceeded to use the mouse. The mouse tracks well and has a solid feel. The position of the buttons, while roughly equivalent to a normal mouse but on a vertical incline aren't instinctively positioned for my hand. I can work it well enough but I keep having to reposition my fingers on the buttons. I assume I'll get used to it after a while. I do like the way it positions my hand and wrist. I also like the feel and the ability to repurpose the buttons using a 3rd party application which I will play with after getting comfortable with the button positions.

Great working mouse that is easy on the hand

I’m old enough to remember the days when using a computer didn’t involve wrapping your hand around a mouse for 10+ hours a day. They certainly made computing easier, but after 30+ years of this, I can feel the fatigue in my hands all day long. As we keep our hands in that position much of the day, I applaud designs like this that break up that cycle. The vertical design just feels good. There’s less stress on my fingers and hand as I don’t feel the strain that I do with flat mice, and it wasn’t difficult to adjust to using it. It’s very smooth and precise to adjust to movements both slow and fast. The battery life seems pretty good, but I have mixed feelings about the USB-C charging: Pro - It’s nice to not need batteries and that it uses a commonly available cable (provided). Con - You can’t just pop a new battery in and get back to work so if it runs out during the work day you’ll need to use something else for a few hours.

Ergonomic and contemporary

Got it for my husband. He spends hours on the computer and has a wrist rest, but still suffers from carpel tunnel, so I decided that a vertical mouse might be more beneficial.Upon opening it, I loved the feel, and ergonomic shape, plus, it's a very stylish, high-tech look.Despite the impressive technical features, we both found it difficult getting used to the shape, after many years with our hands in a different position on a mouse. It’ll take a while to adjust to a different way of positioning and controlling it. But it’s worth the effort, because in testing it, I found it more comfortable than a regular mouse, just a bit difficult to use the functions when they’re positioned differently than I’m used to.
