Pig, Babs, Buster, Fifi, and Elmyra can't wait. Each of the students has big summer plans, ranging from a cross-country trip to Happy World Land, to the biggest squirt-gun fight ever, getting a Hollywood star's autograph, and a trip to the nature park. Everything from annoying family car-ride traditions to escaped convicts, town-wide flooding, snooty stars, and unpredictable wild animals threaten to ruin the students' vacations. The gags, silly songs, parodies of Hollywood stars and pop culture, cartoon violence, and crazy fun never seem to stop in this 80-minute original film. Viewers will gain a whole new perspective on downriver trips, Hollywood talk shows, and the true meaning of "Independence" Day. --Tami Horiuchi Review: Nostalgic, Humorous and Still a Good Movie - Nostalgia for my son when we visited him and lots of fun for his kids, too. It was great to re-visits all of the Tiny Toon characters and a totally appropriate movie for the night before the first day of a new school year. Review: Favorite childhood film - Tiny Toon Adventures has been my favorite as long I remember. This film had all of the comedy from the cartoons, everyone dealing with annoying antics during road trips, serial killers, water gun fights, theme parks, self centered actors, obnoxious viewers at a theater, and predatory southern residents. I will give the short summary of this film. It’s summer, the students went out for summer vacation. Buster Bunny and Babs Bunny (no relation) had an intense water gun fight that went out of hand which floods the town and they were drifted to the south along with Byron Bassett while they dodge the hungry residents. Plucky learnt that Hampton is going to his favorite theme park and he wants to go, but this road trip will prove to be his worst nightmare filled with Hampton’s annoying family antics and a hitchhiker who is an serial killer with a crave for pork. Elmyra Duff loses her cat and her family took her to an safari park which she starts to mistreat and frightened the animals which is a no no in the safari. Fifi La Fume is obsessed getting an autograph from her favorite skunk actor, but she learns how horrible and self centered he is. Fowlmouth takes Shirley the Loon to a movie theater which had an deafening thud sound effect which pokes at George Lucas’ THX, but he keeps annoying the viewers and spoiling the details of the movie which the viewers had enough and they kicked him out of the theater. Buy this if you want to complete your Tiny Toon series. I gave this cartoon five stars.

The perfect animated movie to watch every summer.
"Tiny Toon Adventures" has always been one of my favorite TV series, and I partially owe it to this direct-to-video feature, which was my introduction to the show. It starts out with the title characters at Acme Looniversity, counting down the minutes until the bell rings, and from then it's summer vacation. Buster and Babs Bunny (no relation) are literally swept downstream on a river cruise to the South (on account of a squirt-gun skirmish) where they get mixed up with possums, gators, and other critters (who naturally, want to eat them). Plucky Duck accompanies his best friend Hamton Pig to Happy World Land (a theme park complex with attractions such as "Happy Go Pukey", "Bullet Train to Heck", and others) on a cross country "vacation" that turns out to be sheer hell. In between, Fifi vainly tries to seek out dream "skunk" Johnny Pew, Elmyra naturally disobeys orders to stay in the car while touring a drive-in safari (terrorizing the wild animals like kitty cats), and Shirley reluctantly goes along with Fowlmouth to a movie presented with the (literally) deafening THUD sound system. All this happens in the course of 80 minutes. And throughout, it's outrageously wacky, silly, hilarious, laugh-out-loud fun. The production values are excellent for a 90's direct-to-video feature, and plenty of jokes to tickle your funny bone. I quickly became a fan of "Tiny Toons" as a result of this movie, and chances are you will too; although of course, those who do know the show will easily lap it up.

Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation(1992)
Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation(1992) was one of the best selling direct-to-video movies of 1992. The film got positive to mixed reviews from critics and some people thought it was simply a compilation of Tiny Toons episodes. The film is an underrated cult classic and it's still funny. The students at Acme Looniversity go on summer vacation and they deal with unpleasant road trips, hungry predators, serial killers, theme parks, self-centered movie stars, and more. The writers also poked fun of George Lucas' THX Sound System! Footage from How I Spent My Vacation was recycled on the Tiny Toons TV show(episodes 97-100) with a narrator giving us a recap. An abridged version of How I Spent My Vacation was shown on the Fox Network. Tiny Toons is the "Star Trek The Next Generation" of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies world. Bugs Bunny is in the show, but more emphasis is put on Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, Plucky Duck, and the rest. There were Tiny Toons video games for the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and the Sega Genesis. Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose(1993) was one of the best. This DVD is a decent package. There's video spots as extras. The video quality is a little fuzzy. I swear some prints of this movie are called "How I Spent My Summer Vacation"! How I Spent My Vacation is packed with sardonic, inspired, gross out humor. It hasn't lost its fun factor in the past two decades.

Ich habe die dvd bestellt und kann sie leider auf keinem meiner Geräte abspielen, weil ein Regionalcode drauf ist, der offenbar erkennt, dass der Player in Deutschland verkauft wurde... steht auch hinten drauf: Not authorized for sale or rental outside the USA and Canada. Zudem ist da ein Stempel auf der Hülle. Disc made in Mexico.
