Lipton Iced Tea

To me, iced tea is one of symbols of the warmer weather, although enjoyed all throughout the year, iced tea and summer, are synonymous. I prefer iced tea rather than the carbonated sodas because it’s more refreshing, soda does not quench my thirst and lemonade is usually too sweet or leaves my mouth with a puckered sour after-taste. Although now there are many different fruit flavors and brands of ice tea, I only crave the original Lipton pre-sweetened with the lemon flavor, and I’ve been enjoying this mix since I was a kid. Unfortunately, it’s now rare when I see Lipton ice tea offered in stores, and it’s usually not the mix, so I was excited to see this offered on Amazon. I always make this mix by the pitcher because when I offer my guests a beverage, Lipton Ice Tea is usually the one preferred and chosen. The advantage of the pre-sweetened mix is that I can make it as strong or weak as I desire and sometimes I’ll even add my own slices of lemon for an appetizing appearance. We drink so much Lipton ice tea that I make it by the pitcher. We drink hot coffee in the morning and then resort to either water or Lipton ice tea for the rest of the day. I use a 48 oz. glass pitcher, pour in a few cups of cold water then add 5 heaping tablespoons of the ice tea mix, stir vigorously with a wooden spoon, then fill the pitcher almost to the top with water. Then I stir again to distribute the mix, add ice cubes to the top, cover and put it into the refrigerator. This usually last us for the day, then in the evening, I rinse out the pitcher and make another. The advantage of this ice tea mix is if someone wants their ice tea a little sweeter or stronger, I just add a little extra mix to the prepared tea, and then stir it up and its ready. Since I have been preparing the ice tea in a pitcher that’s ready in the refrigerator, my husband does not drink his large quantity of soda and I no longer drink any soda at all. I loved the pre-sweetened Lipton Ice Tea with lemon, as a kid, and I still prefer it to all the other brands.

Good product in powder form. The taste is comparable to reality. Easy to prepare in various amounts starting with a glass size up to a gallon container or more. It is refreshing and good with meals or during the summer hot time.

I love to use this tea! I use it in Russian tea. Basically I mix Tang and Lipton Tea with lemon and cinnamon together. I like to have this hot or cold. Both are wonderful. I have used other types of instant tea and the Lipton is by far the best. I think this size is the best for me because I make this all of the time and for some reason I just can't find the tea in stores. Happy to find it. I absolutely love this stuff. I am blind and searched and searched the internet for mixing instructions. I couldn't find any. I had an old scoop from some other tea and I have no idea how much it holds, but one scoop per 8 oz is perfect. This way you get sweetened tea. A half a scoop gives you what more tastes like tea with only lemon in it. There are instructions on the can, but when they were read to me, I tried them and they didn't work. But this gets a 5*. Once you have it where you like it, it is fantastic. It dissolves easily. You can drink it cold or hot. When I have the flu or a cold or just want to get to sleep I put honey ginger crystals in it and make a hot beverage. My favorite way to make this tea is to rock it. Make unsweetened iced tea with teabags or loose tea and put the mix in it! Way easier than measuring sugar and lemon.

I looked FOREVER to try and find this in our local grocery stores so I was beyond happy to find it on Amazon! It takes me back to my childhood. My grandma always had this tea on the table. Love the taste. Love the price. Great product.

I bought this to make batches of Friendship Tea. It’s quite large & perfect for what I intended to use it for. I’ll reorder same thing when needed again.
