Very surprised when it arrived, it was a great machine and the photo did not do it justice, very comfortable to hold and easy to use with good speed choice.Looking forward to using it regularly with a lot of tools I already have.

Good quality tool and a nice set
I’ve used lots of different hand tools of this type, some of professional grade and others aimed at the DIY user. However, this has been my first Duratech tool and I’ve been impressed with many things about it. The first thing you find when opening the box is that the set is supplied in an great storage bag which unzips to offer a wide work pouch. The tool itself feels well made and the controls haver a reassuring quality to them. The supplied battery is 2Ah which sounds small compared to other tools but because this one is on a smaller scale it lasts quite well in my experience.Also supplied are various accessories which are used for cutting, polishing, grinding and so on. They fit into the chuck at the end of the tool, and there is a small digital display which shows the battery charge level and the speed to the chuck. The instructions are a little vague and it helps if you have an idea of what you’re doing which is a shame for beginners.The tool is fairly weighty and can be tiring to hold for long periods, but it’s also possible to place the tool on a suitable surface (or fix with a clamp) and then offer the workpiece to the rotating tool. It works very well in most ways though in typical fashion the tool itself is of better quality than the accessories supplied in this set. The only niggle I have is that the speed defaults to 20,000rpm when it is switched on even if a lower speed was last set and Is needed again. Apart from the minor points mentioned I’m pleased with my Duratech tool.
